They're showing Gurren Lagaan english dubs on Sci-Fi Animondays (they finished Street Fighter V2 I guess, last anime I saw on there that was decent). They're doing 2 episodes every Monday, so make sure to tune in! They've already done episodes 1-4.

This is news to me. Tuned in hoping to catch some Twilight Zone and I see Gurren Lagaan.

Hmm.. dub isn't that bad.. But yea, it does kill most of the anime.

Do you have a problem? Not all dubs are bad there are about two or three that are better than the original.

I'd prefer watching my anime, not watching subtitles. Especially seeing as most subs now have subtitles on the bottom, and at the top describing each suffix. I don't see the point of that, you're suppose to be translating, not teaching me new words.

To each his own I guess. I don't see how it's "killing" anime. If anything the dubbed versions of each series brings in more money for the companies behind each anime.

And to tell the truth, all of the Japanese VA's sound exactly the same.

All in all, it's not killing anime. That's like complaining how your favorite game got ported to another console. Doesn't matter, you still have your version and the developer just got more money for a sequel.

By "killing" I meant that it kills the fun from watching.

For me, american anime dubbing is the worst thing that can exist in the anime world, the voices are lame, never fit the character, they all sound the same in every serie and they're voice acting is poor...So when it comes to anime VA, there's no one better than the Japanese.
