after my visitor message was posted the updater thing worked suddenly and i got the exe files and manual but still get an error.. -.-

"It was not possible to connect to the server"

Your best bet is just downloading each update in the nma thread I sent you. I downloaded the original mirrors and I have been updating manually through the nma thread. If a new update requires new files, it will tell you to download them, just get all the ones like like that.

Once you are sure it is patched up correctly, make sure you set up your settings in FOconfig.exe. Change the language to English, direct the paths to master.dat and critter.dat, and make sure the IP and port is correct and then you can tweak anything else you want really.

i got the torrent and it gave me the same error... $#@*$#(@*%)@!#^!@#@!

i was halfway finished with torrent and it stopped.. -____________________-

oh thanks, no i dont need to waste more time trying to figure out the problem, i'll look for the torrent link then o.o

The client from the fallout thread is old. The official archived client is only available through the torrent I think. The links in the fallout thread were just mirrors of the original beta client. You need to update it manually from that in order to get it playable. I don't understand the point of the updater, because since it was released, we still have had to manually patch...

i started off by getting the client from that fallout thread.

i downloaded everything there but i still get this error

the network reports your client is an incorrect version, update the client.

the updater is corrupted for me.. i tried the europe ip & port to see if that server works but it repeats this method over and over again when i click enter

connecting to server.
conection established, authentication...
*back to login screen*

oh dear i am so unlucky *facepalm*

I know it's kind of confusing to update it. I'm not sure which version you downloaded, but they actually made an automatic updater but I'm not sure if it even works.

All I can say is look through the changelog:

Download all of the links they tell you to get in order to update, put them in your FOnline folder and copy and/or replace the files with whatever you download.

If you can't figure that out, try downloading the updater on the changelog thread and see if that works, let me know if you need any more clarification.

im going to go nuts, fallout online wont work >.< where do i get updates for my client?
