I suppose what I'm actually talking about is: Best of Spider-Man, Vol. #1, etc. Do you know how many volumes are currently made?

As in collected editions of ALL his single issues?
There're loads. Typically the early issues fall under the Essential banner, e.g: Essential X-Men, Essential Silver Surfer etc.
You would have to het the volumes of Essential Spider-Man in order, then go from there.

Working in a comic book store: Do you know anything about the Amazing Spiderman Collection Books, and if you do how many were made? (I'll venture to say I own #1 and #2, maybe 3- but they're all in storage)
