American Dialect Quiz
Thought this would be fun to share just to see the random results from the large number of visitors that don't even live in the US. It's been incredibly spot on for fourteen of the fifteen people I've had take it this holiday.
I'm a total Southern Californian, being labeled most strongly as someone from Riverside which happens to be where I went to college at.
i've heard people say that people from Toronto speak a lot like people from San Francisco do.

most similar with Minneapolis St. Paul in Minnesota, Lincoln Nebraska, and Rochester New York.
some of these i just hadn't heard of any of them and put in the closest to what we would say though. i'll try using the i don't know option more.
this time I got Portland/Vancouver, Seattle, and Lincoln again.
most similar to Washington DC, Louisville and Pembroke Pines apparently.
I guess these are where all the Brits hide in America.
Supposedly I talk like I am from Boston. Though I also had no clue what some of these things were.
I lived in Salt Lake City from 2004-2012, so that doesn't surprise me.
Otherwise, I think I'm a little swayed back and forth because I grew up in Southern California but spent a lot of time with my grandparents that were from Oklahoma and Arkansas (they were like a second set of parents and I spent six years living with them) and were still very southern in their linguistic approach, and I picked up on some of it with the time I spent with them.
