Does anyone have info on it? It looks really good, but do Stay in the ship ALL the time?

How is the Gameplay like? I heard that it has PK, and the combat is fast and fun, and that when a player's ship gets destroyed, they are ejected out in a Escape pod, with remainders of the ship floating around, including the player's ship's cargo and stuff, and if a player wants to, they can let fire on the survivor's escape pod.

That bit of info, got me excited.

Is the game low-rate user friendly, or are the graphics really are as good as they are in the screen shots, and you need a good graphics card to play?

the game is all ship based, the gameplay is VERY slow so if you don't like slow gameplay avoid it, but its good if you want a mellow game.

and the graphics are really good.

I didn't really suspect that type of response.

I didn't know it's gameplay was slow. Thanks for telling me.

If you play eve as a fighter and go through the agent missions you won't be bored. You'll grow quiet rich and enjoy yourself.
Always remember to get a "Clone" of your skill level or higher, from medic bays, which are in most populated station areas, i.e. newb or base points.
That will save your arse in the high ganking areas,
if the ganker or gankies, destroy your ship (make sure your insured,) the ganks, will then pod kill your tiny arse once more, just because they know it hurts, which leaves you for dead, your zapped back to newb homebase, so, you lose some skills that took you ages to get if your not cloned.
So, acquire that "Clone" The gear you had on board your now defunked ship! is dumped in space, as cargo, all for the taking,
you can retrieve it in agent missions as not many people are out there.
but some missions they are.
The only real drag is the game takes a considerable amount of time to train those much needed skills,
it's very hard to climb up, its not like a rpg, where you can get back up again.
These skills take days, weeks, months, + +
In order to get a good char together, you really need to join up for a year!
thats how long it will take you to get to a good level of skills, battle skills, mining skills, both!! who knows that path is up to you. Once you have achieved these goals, it is happy sailing.
The other way is pay for a char on the net for around 900 to 1000 bucks but for 100 odd bucks you can train your arse for a year +
If you go mining, you can be mega rich quickly, just mining the cheap arse ores, buy, sell and be a money bum. But the crunch in the game always comes down to "TIME"
"Skill Training Completed"
will be what you'll wait for in your days, weeks, or months!
it don't matter! cause in this game its the long haul, not a short path.
If you like it, and have the time, its sortof worth it. If you have a office job your laughing. lol
The graphics have been pumped!
all ships look really hot and cool and you can join some awesome corps or some real shit ones!
best bet is to rip them all off! lol
Oh Yeah !! and if you think I'll leave the game for 6 mths plus then call back later, like you would wow or other games, you'll come back to nothing!! as Eve delete chars after 6mths, so keep that in mind too.
here's a dreamy pic tube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mp6I2FaEGDM
but in the end its time.
good luck,
get the trial and see it for yourself
never listen to anyones point of view, just play what you like!
happy gaming ;)

if this isn't your thing wait for Jumpgate like me. ;)

I'll think about this one.

Actually, if there's no way to tone down the graphics, unless I get a new comp, I might not be able to play.

lmao thats awesome man, so true!

yeah this game is awesome if you want to relax, the music is great and the graphics are amazing tbh.

make sure you do the tutorial and research EVERYTHING before you buy it first time you play and you'll do fine. also recommend you go fighter and do the agent missions, had alot of fun doing them and got some kickarse ships.

yeah, heh, that graph is so true. there's just a ridiculous amount of things to do, and if you want to do the real "endgame" stuff, you simply cannot avoid pvp in low-security space (which has an extreme penalty for dying by today's standards, although insurance covers the ship, the parts are not covered, and many cost quite a bit). and if you are pod-killed, you lose your implants, which also can cost quite a bit of bank.

you will die in low security space, and even more often if you're a loner type. since it came out about 4 years ago, it still remains as the most complex mmo in my opinion. i recently reactivated my account to see how it was doing and i'm still impressed.

EvE is an amazing game.
Graphics are nice, Content is huge, PvP is truly awesome (if you are not scared to lose your ship/equipment/implants).
The "no level" training system is pure genius.
Combat can be a bit slow paced when u get in bigger ships bit I think that's better that way considering there's so many ways to pvp in EvE (Electronic warfare, Covert ops, Sniping, Stealth Bombing, Logistic support etc).
Economy is player driven so u can be pretty sure that 95% of what you are buying has been produced by players.
Support is very good, and you get daily report regarding what's happening in the world of EvE.

And most importantly, you play the way you want. A pirate, a trader, an industrial, a smuggler, a bounty hunter, you name it, you're only bound (almost) by ur imagination.

It's the best space ship MMOG out right now

The only thing that irks me is the damned skill system, You have to wait for your skills to train, and you can do this while offline, I think everyone would agree that's cool, but see, people have been playing since LAUNCH, and all this time, they've been training skills, some people have maxed out complete sections of skill "trees", now you would think, no biggy, but see, it can take 20-100~ days to max one SKILL to 5, or even longer, nonstop. Now you might ALSO think meh, I'll catch up, no, you won't because veterans always have that advantage over newbies, that's what makes the game horrible in terms of balance, yes over time you can max your combat skills and get to an equal footing, but that can take 2 years :), gg.

Also it seems slow pace at first, but it picks up, and it gave me a rush with PvP, truly unique albeit blah experience. Jumping into a system to see a bunch of enemies, then bait and trap each and single one of them.

Jumping into a safe system, where no one can do anything to you unless aggressed. Seeing massive corps mining into jetcans, stealing their ore, then destroying hours of their work in 1 minute, then picking each of their ships off as they try to pitifully attack your T2 battlecruiser in T1 cruisers with their leet mining lasers. ah eve, you bring back my pirating memories

Then they trash talk you for an hour, trying to get back in words what they can't in ships. Don't be a pirate if you play EvE, not until you have a bunch of skill points and money, trust me. It's a hard knock life.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRR!

You'll be surprised how many vets with loads of Skillpoints are actually clueless when it comes to many aspects of EvE.
Curiosity is golden in EvE, and if you are curious enough, study certain aspect well enough you can "outskill" older players.
I was amazed to see how many 1-2 years players have actually no clue and no understanding how to fit their ship.

I havent been playing very long (2month), but my killboard is like 50 kills for 8 deaths, a big majority being players being at least 1 year old (oldest being an 2005 character).

Though I do agree to a certain extent that a new player will never be able to catch up in term of skillpoints, no matter how hardcore you are since the training is overtime and not grind based.

At the end of the day you can have all your skills maxed out but its not like you can use them all at the same time lol a person who is 4 months old trained to be able to fly a certain ship will still be on the same level as a 2 year old player flying the same ship. The older player will have access to more ships and proberly a hell of alot more money but he can only use 1 ship at a time.

EvE is really great game if your willing to invest 1-2 years of your life to get anywhere in the game.

The big let down is skill system, as people were saying takes many many days to complete 1 skill and you going to be killed many times and lose everything until you get skills maxed out.

Wait for Jumpgate and see how that is.

Also if you want space game get DarkstarOne has alot of content, the down side no multiplayer..., Its very amazing game like Freelancer if you ever played it.
