making a gun char guide for you people interested in gun chars aka lion. if you are a fox dont go to the gun characters path you will regret.before the game comes out :P i will edit it when they release map name and monster names *laughs* if there is a typo please tell me i was in a hurry :( "made hurry bold for you blind users *laughs some more*
Basics
1.dexterity gives attack power (like maple story archer)
2.dexterity highers when dexterity level is increased 4levels at a time 1 dexterity is 20 gun damage.
3. 1 guns attack does 1 damage (just incase you wanted to know)
4. Lucky Seven skill is a must to learn (Lev.50+ it highers Luck% meaning it will let you block alot of monsters attack and do more critical hits)
5.Raising Gunners needs alot of patience.
enough with the basics :mad:
6.there is no such stat that highers gun delay speed its already fast enough anyway. :)

Graph&Stats
type1.Power 4 Sense 4 (Sense is purple Power is red)
If your a real man its one-shot one-kill 4power 4sense!! (dun matter if your a girl :P) [ps. im talking about you dying in one hit *laughs*]
type 1 is good on dealing alot of damage while hunting!
but if you have chosen power 4... the stinkiness of the 1 charm... >_<
its a pain in the *** having Low Health,Low Defense,and Low Dodge Rate! If you just started on a gun char it might be a little hard.. well if you have 3800cash some how you can buy the white tiger helm for Lev.50 it has 70 defense and some hp anyways you can mod it 3 times with hp-up items along with Chocolate necklace Lev.75 attack 80 (doesn't count if your a gun char) Dex 3 health 600) would cover the disadvantage of power4 sence4. i rate this type 8/10 :)

type2.Power 3 Charm 2 Sense 4
If you want to hunt with a little more safely this is a good enough graph if we compare the damage with power 4 it shouldn't really have alot of damage difference but you have enough defense dodge and health. i rate this type 7/10 :)

type3. Power 2 Charm 3 Sense 4
If you are new to trickster this graph will be fine for you you do not die easily and you still deal a little damage lets say this graph would be annoying if you played trickster before. i rate this 5/10 :o

type4. Power 1 Charm 4 Sense 4
Ah... Finally! Charm 4 sense 4!! has awfully lots of health tons of defense and lots more dodge rate :) People say this type graph is a flower lol.
well this type will be really hard until you learn the skill power-shot since you are really weak but when you're against boss or 1v1 and Guild Wars you will have Good enough Tankness in you! Mobbing Fun! bad part is you need to have 60 levels of TM to learn power shot but you need patience for a perfect character so i rate this 10/10 :cool:

Leveling
Gun Characters have tons of Advantages but isn't really a loved char in trickster because the Character Guide is hard to make perhaps? lmao well until you learn power-shot you must click like mad lol don't forget your bullets ( ew i heard bullets are 10 gelders in eto stinks doesnt it?)

lets start now
just do tutorial for 50 sets of hp and mp potions.
Lev.1~10 DRILL MADNESS RAWR (while drilling you may earn items make sure
you only sell useless items most of them are quest items so stay alert.)
Lev.10~20 well you may drill till Lev.15 after your level 15 you may go buy a skill card from this Nerd in town o.o called Gun Posession after Lev.15 you can use guns :) then go buy tons of bullets and fire at the pineapples :p if your in Desert Beach. if You are in Blue Mingo or whatever (actaully its Cora Beach) you can go fight Blue fish o.O ill edit this and find out the monsters later since i don't know their new names.
Lev.20~30 well if you have 2500 cash you can go buy a Flicker Drill a drill for Lev.20+ you can level up super quick @_@;; if you have Flicker Drill drill until Lev.60+ :P if not just go to ghost blue by exiting at north exit of Cora beach then
going to 2 maps north then you will be in this weirdo dungeon and you will
see monsters around the 20s go beat em up madly xD or you can head to
ghost blue. which can be accessed by that cave if you are in desert beach
why not talk to the blue made and teleport to desert beach entrance now
talk to the blonde and teleport to ghost blue talk to the blue maid again
she will teleport you to aquarium go north and beat up monsters there till
25 and move on to next map in there o.o you may do monster quests in
aquarium xD or the quest that is received by blonde person at ghost blue
where you beat up the screwed up eyeball monster o.o;; well at level 25
there are two scary quests :O Nora bottle quest (will rename because its not the real name lol) you need 5 of them for 80k exp so basically you will be around
35 when you finish it so you should have alot of Dex raised by then. it was
4000gelders at first but raised to 10000gelders ouches XD anyways you can
get them by beating up Nora series - Nora Joe (small green alien) Nora Mummy(name tells you all) Nora big (a huge one xD) i prefer Nora Joe since hes easy
mummy is strong than big when big is 30~40 levels higher than mummy
funny huh o.o;; and mummys are strong to guns which is scary lool even my
gun char dies in one hit if i have no hp sets on.. alright to get to Nora dungeon you must buy a card key at an item shop at any town lol then go
west of aquarium you will see this guy in white called don juvani or whatever
talk to him and press first option and head in the dungeon this is where you
drill if flicker drill by the way. 200meters to drill here >_>;; more meters the better experience*laughs* but this can only be done when quests come out
so thats a bummer you can just get them for your "next char" if they ever
had the quests fast enough. next quest is leaf bird quest monster quest
perhaps i don't know where you get it from through I'm thinking megaro polis
through anyways after you do that you will be around Lev.48 this is easy
because the bird is weak against guns :)
Lev.30~40 when you get a little higher you get a different monster quest
if not go to ghost blue and just beat up ghost pirates and stuff till you get
high enough for that quest (while doing it you will get quest items from him
also the mermaid gives quest items along with that green fish guy xD) you
can teleport with the blonde to megaro and go south west and beat up bugs
if you get bored of ghost blue you can do monster quests from lovely hunter
he gives TM quests as usual popo <- are at south east if you are 20+
to do that quest.
Lev.40~50 you can move onto next map to kill monsters there or go back to ghost blue. or you can go to oops vudu and hunt gangsters *theres a quest
where you can beat blue gangsters* you should be around 60s when you
finish this through also TM quest in ghost school *hides* 5 times o.o;; from
this level you can go beat up ghosts *the students* they give alot of tms
and their wooden pencils are quest items
Lev.50~60 at this level if you had Flicker Drill it might have lost endurance well Don't Forget to Finish Quests for your Level this level you may do Quests and level or even go to the south west map then head straight west you will see Metal Turtle, walrus/cat/Tiger thing o.O;; a bear and some other monster LOL :/ hunt here for a bit same thing above its pretty good :)
Lev.60~70 you are close! almost!! power-shot is waiting for you! If you are nuts go hunt Big Nora in Nora Dungeon with using Nora Card Key when your in Ghost Blue. if you arnt nuts probably try fighting YamuQueen in Megaro Polis South East. no I'm joking that pink squirrel is no use level 36 only *laughs*
around this level you can go keep beating up garlys if your TM isn't level 50
yet make sure you have partys its useful more exp xD (if you have a only guy
character party with no share you will get 2.5x exp or the royal party of different type of chars(power sense charm and magic the other two can be
any which is 2.5x as well)
Lev.70~80 Finally you get Power-shot! :) satisfied? :P Hunt in Arazone till Lev.80
Lev.80~90 you will get passed this Lev quick well go try TengoQuest and and this other quest lol tengo quest gives 700000 Exp and you can do it 25times.
Lev.90~100 you are coming close! GunChar's 2nd Flower ! Nansa (ill edit it later lol)
now 100 blue pots you used decreases to 50 about? and your hunting speed should have increased TONS :P Never Forget Monster Quest and Tm Highering Quests
Lev.100~110 yippee Nansa Learned Congrats to you :) if you are 4charm 4 sense you can go to the Machine Factory. if not go Party or Solo (i dun care!) and Fight Huge Noras they are Lev.100 or 110 i think :P
Lev.110~120 meh do all the monster quests you didn't do sand Hunt in Santa Bear-zone
Lev.120~130 Megalopolis monster Quest 3100000Exp and you can do it 25times remember! so you can get to Lev. 130 quickly
Lev.130~140 Now The Dreamland Hunting Grounds Machine Factory RULED OVER YOU :P go mob hunting so you level up madly with tons of money maybe we don't need words for that excitement! :) don't forget monster quests!
140+ Machine Factory. END :( FOR NOW THO

Marble Belt - this is fine if you are 4 beauty this has 4luck 4 dodge

SKILLS
Well the skills to master or learn in order is
Gun Posession->Basic Marksmanship(master)->Absolute Loading->Loading on the Move->10 hitting a rock->1 Armour Destruction->Lucky Seven(master)->power-shot(master)->Multishot(nansa in korean version)(master)->Mysterious Pouch(master *its not a must through* since you get alot of weight anyway)->Doubleshot is a master its like shooting two powershots at once :P
there isn't much of a difference in damage with 4charm vs 4power infact 4power would lose against 4charm since more hp the longer
you stay alive. so why not try 4charm?

before i post the screenshot this one isnt the regular wood gun it has 1 dex meaning
you will do 20 damage more than your self using the regular wood gun :P

level 40 classic gun ( this one can be found by drilling the bathroom in ghost school first you have to go to oops vudoo or whatever >_>;
to get there. but it will be easier to earn in nora dungeon. you can drill there (red circles show you were to drill) or kill nora mummys
(purple circle shows where they are) as you see it gives 2 dex and 83 attack meaning you will do 123 attack you can skip guns
till level 70 since level 60 gun will only be 2 damage stronger.

level 80 stainless gun o_O;; it has 4 dex and 166 attack :P remember 1 dex is 20 attack ^0^;; of course this isnt the normal stainless gun i just dont know the nickname for it through :P *like sharp,old* etcetc. anyways this can only be earned by drilling in ghost school floor 2 *the stairs for floor 2 is at floor 1 close to bathroom by the green lady * this place is pretty annoying to drill the monsters are
kind of fast :P useful when you have the drill skill (the skill that makes you drill even when you get attacked)

level 90 [Master] Titan gun :P this one has 5 dex and 212 attack but you can mod dextarity same with master stainless gun
but i dont think its worth it modding master stainless gun so i skiped the master for stainless gun sorry. actually the stat options

you get 10 graph points but cant lower anything to 0 you cant lower one type
to 1 if its your type example your a lion your sense type must be at 4 and you can use charm or attack to be 4. you get 4 stats per level.
you can hunt boss monsters together but quests to do with people? no.

all type of gun char builds raises all points into dex. i repeated this many times. and yes 1144 is the best at pvp and guild wars. they are perfect after they learn powershot (1st job advancement skill at tm level 60)

The proficiency rating forms a ratio to determine how fast your character moves up in abilities. In general, a proficiency rating of 4 on an area means that for every four levels your character attains, this skill area will have increased 4 times. A proficiency rating of 3 means that for every four levels, this area will have increased 3 times. If i understand correctly, it means that you will get more points in the stats with higher starting points (eg. power 4) than those with less (eg. magic 1)
Hence wouldn't 4114 builds have higher dex as they get more points to put into power (red) as compared to the 1144 build?

edit: also, how much damage does critical hit do as compared to normal hit? 2x?
Will increasing luck improve critical chance much?

is decided by your gun attack and dextarity (stats and equipment stats "some specially accessories and guns have dex")
no, 4114 is just a little bit more stronger due to having more dex. but you will die so fast. basicly one hit from almost every monster (exept the newbie monsters) so thats why you should go 1144 critical hit is based on critical damage but you must raise dex only unless you want to be even weaker. i dont mind if you mess up your stats. digging success rate is based on sense but lions dont raise sense unless you want to use daggers and shurikens but if you want to use daggers and shurikens and drill why not use
a fox instead. yes you will get more stat points if its 4114 the 4s will get 4 and 1 will get 1 bar. well it may be because of my luck i guess it is 1x -_- it maybe 2x but for me it feels like 3x or maybe im weird :P cash drills help you level way faster. you can buy regular drills at shop so dont worry. sorry for making so unordered >_>;; hopefully you can understand this

also just because luck gives guns regular attack's accuracy,block rate,critical rate,Mod success rate dont mean you "have" to raise it. its a must to raise dex do not make me repeat again. also i really suggest you people to use 1144. you can get dex modded equipments then just live with the equips you will just do more than fine. 4141 needs health modded equipments (if you dont you know you will die in one hit lol)

simple.. dont u want to use guns :P

well at first you can use hitting a rock and shurikens and job change you can upgrade your shuriken damage and such not only that you get mines :O!!
all of these are sense stat based on damage o_o you could do hitting a rock > shuriken throw > run and mines then boom :O then again we all know gun chars are awsome :D

you dont raise Power,Magic,Sense,Charm after the graph you get to raise 12 stat points. and the 2nd stat (dextarity) is all that stats you pour into it. sense is only for foxes that uses hitting a rock,shurikens "spoiler skill - mines* since the skills are sense based. lion isnt a fox. lol

Alright, you may seem weak, but you aren't going to get raped. You won't need a tank. It's going to be pretty hectic until about level 15 or so, so hang in there...soon you will be god.

@shidori:you will use gun type 1 (sold in stores in starting town) there isnt differences
in delay for guns. no matter how much you raise hit speed it wont raise as well.

or even get leeched by a friend (sounds like a plan rofl) dex only raises guns

powershot that requires tm level 60 is very powerful o_o; your regular gun damage is like the power of a chars skill (im positive if 4141) (if 1144 pretty close) tm level 70 is beautiful multishot hits more than 2 monsters xP i dont know which point but i guess tm level 60 at least -_-

Ok which stats is Dexterity, which stat is the one that increase gun damage? As everyone says it is DX the bottom one of 'Power' stats but the japanese version guide here http://tricksters.50webs.com/creation.html calls that 'Delay' the cloest I find is one under 'Charm' Called Evasion on japanese version guide.

Please tell me which it is so I dont make a mess of my Lion =/

You just got to get lucky and find some Equips to sell. Least that's what I did, and I didn't have any problems.


@ Berry: In the skills part of your guide, it says to max basic marksmanship after getting the gun possesion. But how do I get that skill?

Buy a new Drill then. I think the starter drill or whatever costs 300/500 and has 250 uses. It'll be worth it.

@Arcteryx:you have to buy skill cards from this nerd and if you are at the desert beach hes at the south. if you are at cora blue same thing hes at the building @ south (same with other skill npcs)
@182: you must have not been that lucky then xD try making a 4114 bunny or buffalo and make some money. (best thing to do i guess lol)

oK UPDATE,

Yay I managed to sell everything I have to get the gun posession skill along with a gun type 1.

The damange makes all the suffering worth while, we do more damage than anyone around the beginning area.
How ever the bullets are 10 coins for 1! what a rip off, when you spend 2k on bullets you only get 200 and it's gone just like that.

noob question: how do you get to the desert beach?

first go to the north east exit then go north then north east again then you will be in this dungeon/cave then find your way blahblah etcetc then you will be in aquaroad go close to the shop to talk to the made to go to ghostblue enterance or if you want jog all the way to desert beach then go to the south
anyways after you talk to the blue bunny maid and reach ghost blue enterance go east and find the blonde lady and she will take you to desert beach or any other places you want to go (of course teleports arnt free it dont cost much anyway) thats if you want to teleport there :) hopefully

do quests.. u get like 1500-3000exp per quest.. its worth it :) and u get good items too

monster quests are the best quests :D yes do them all :p but first
do monster quests untill there are no monster quests to do then do quests that needs items (since they dont have any max level requirements unlike monster quest in desert or blue cora)

dont do monster quests when ur low lvl.. its impossible lol..

Anyway guys I've made my lion reach LV21 (thx to Royal 2.5) and i've put almost my points to AC, the gun damage is nice nothing to wine at all, but the thing that sacres me is how can we fight? It shoots something like 1 bullet every 5-7 seconds, also the auto attack thingie seems not to work well i have to click the monster everytime for shoot again...

I'm running into a lot of 3142 lions. I really really don't recommend going 3142. A lot of other forums/guides, say to go 3142. It's not worth it for a few reasons.

1. You die in a few hits so...
2. You need a tank most of the time so...
3. The tanker gets all the loot so...
4. You make no money, which you need.

3142s are ok on JTrickster, KTrickster, etc, because you can just loot those high level players since they don't pick up their gold and make about 60k in 3 minutes. You won't be doing that here. Sorry! So go 1144 if you know what's best. If you can play a Maple Story Asassin (without people giving you money for nothing) then you are capable of making a good lion.

Let me tell you something. On JTrickster I was a 3142 lion. This time, I'm 1144 and I'm not regretting it at all. At lvl 15, my 1144 lion had more HP than my lvl 27 3142 lion. At level 22-23 the lvl 20 sea anemonies did 0 damage on me. I also don't feel weak at all. I kill monsters pretty fast. Also at tm level 30, you get Gun Booster (aka Marksmanship). A friend of mine did around 700 damage on popeyed anemones. Guns are fixed damage so the damage would be close on monsters his level. That is seriously some nice damage. This guide really is good. Most guides I've seen don't say 1144 therefore messing up the whole Trickster community. Berry, you should add some bolding for the those headers and some capitalization. It hurts my eyes a bit lol xD.

Hit Rate: Defines accuracy and gun power. The higher this is, the more often your hits will connect and gun damage will improve.

i put it in order and one without any numbers means its passive and can only be learned once. theres no need for discriptions of skills since you can always check at trickster homepage. (i cant since the site wont work for me) :eek:

hmm...do u people find the ammo a bit overpriced? its like 10g and the monster i kill nid 5 shots and give barely 20g?

they also drop stuff plus the ammo price will never rise so that means you wont have a problem at higher levels. perhaps 20ish? :D

Guys, I'm sure you're not digging, I have always around 20-30k when i comeback from the hunt and sell the useless drops....Be Lions is just simply use "sixth sense" dig 10-15 times, then hunt a bit, "sixth sense" and....

lions arnt suppose to learn sixth sense lol. incubus why not create a bunny or a buffalo to make money. since you seem to be having a hard time doing so.

To get from Coral Beach to Desert Beach you must take Coral's upper right exit and make it to the Underground Path. Just follow the Underground Path, and you'll be in Aquarius. Then just talk to the maid Bunny Maid and teleport. xD

I have a lion lv 28 and i can say that AC increases the damage. Each point AC is increased you will do +20 damage.
If u get the rabbit pet (+2 AC) you will do +40 damage.

its not the same as dex... don't compare with other games for now to avoid confusion...

LION GUN damage is base on AC like you said , 2nd row of the power STATS.
If you're 1144 I suggest you put all of it onto AC :D

with 4141 you will sie fast as you can0t even imagine....

3142 gives you a bit more life....but you always have to put you bonus points for increase your defense and HP, put points on Luck doesn't help you since at higher lvl lions get the skill "Luckyseven" and anyway don't hope it will work that much you think while drilling.

The best for lion is 1144 stop...here you have nice defense and it allows you to fight more and evade more.

I've choosed 2143, since I was still a new, and do a bit more damage at the beginning will help for a quick start, but anyway I can go straight with it since the lion gameplay allows you to earn more money than the others...so you will have good equipments.

I think that the first one 4141 and ure stat build will be a nice crit build... i'm not sure about it but maybe it'll be very very good... or just normal :p

i beleive every 4 levels you get +1 AC, since i leveled 4 times from lvl 1, all my ap and dx is at 2 and my ac went up when it got to 5, 1 +4 = 5 =+1

The Lion is a SENSE character you HAVE to have 4 in sense, it is impossible NOT to have 4 in sense, the 4 in sense is compulsory. and there is more int he sense catergory then just weight, it's not like only weight is being increased with the 4 in sense, DA and LK are being increased. DA helps with drilling LK is luck and gives you more critical hits.

the 1144 build makes alot of sense when you think about it, if you understand what the 1144 means and works then ull understand this next thing

It is way more beneficial to have 4 charm, why? might you ask, well because since charm is 4, HP,DP and HV all get +4pnts (takes 4 pnts to raise a stat by 1) when you level which results in them increasing by +1.

think of it this way, you need all 3 of them or your are gimped but if charm was 1 you would need to spend 12 stat points (4 in each) to raises them, where as if you look at ATK which is AP, AC and DX, the only thing u benefit from is AC

so it would be a waste to have 4ATK when all you need is AC. You get 4stat pnts which all goes into AC so it all works out nice and dont have to worry about hp,dp and hv cuz they all get +4 from your growth graph if your a 1144

how come the weight is more.. and da and lk is only 2+0 when it is lv 9? my char bug?

Because some stats dont go up as much as others, when weight levels up of course its going to add more, it would be pretty useless if you only got 1 weight per level wouldnt it... this is common sense...

Weight goes up more per 'level' then something like luck does...

Ok we all know that DX does nothing for us gun totting lion, But i found a Shrewd Classic gun. It can be compounded to add luck,...or DX. I saw this, and was like "WTF". Can anyone explain why the hell would a gun be able to be compounded to add DX. This is confusing

it seems only way to increase the main stat , in this case the AC is refining, compouding is used to add 'extra' stats, so you get a choice of a couple of stats. DX I am not sure if would be any use, probably not, but meh what else could you put on a gun? maybe Accuracy but I dont think accuracy works with guns.

You can Compound either DX or LK

I know how to build stats on gus and what not, BUt y o y would U add DX to a gun. It makes no sense

On the japanese version the second red stat, AC was called DEX, when Benny says Dex he means AC, as a Lion, you pump AC

yep just pump AC all the way if ure 1144 ~ if not i'm not 100% sure but AC is the most important stat for lions :D

excuse me but where did you find the Shrewd Classic Gun because i have been after one for a long time. also does the critical glitch work with it? since ihad a power clasic and it didnt work with that at all even tho i had perfefct timing and what does the rhythem earings do that is so vital to lion gunner life. thay add like 900 AC or sumfin?

Bought it, But now I got an Lvl 51 Odd Reianssance(sp) gun. King Tut drops it

Sold already =/. Only 40k. But u will see one soon. I seen alot of Power Classic guns around. And actually there is a third classic gun. Forgot the name, but it has +83(just like the original) but u can add two compounds too it.

before i post the screenshot this one isnt the regular wood gun it has 1 dex meaning

What bout their crits? I don't believe how many crits mobs do on this game lmao.... its like.. wooo they onli take 50 off me... I can take them then 2 seconds later they crit 200 or so :( :( :(
