well, i've loved every game in the final fantasy series, and i've only seen the gameplay for just a little while.... i like the combat style and the race and jobs.
one more question, on average how much people are online at once?
and how much a month is it? :D

I believe it is $12.99 US a month, its been a while so I can't really remember. If you can afford it its a solid MMORPG and worth playing. I liked it alot when I played it but it was hard to level later on for me since I only had very little free time and you need time to find a good party to level. The only problem I think I have heard about it since is inflation (as in raising of price of items).

FFXI for sure worth it either on ps2 or on computer. I'd tell you not to play if you like easy games. It has alot of strategies and jobs which makes alot of possibilities for party setup. I'm not so sure about the billing, been a while since i've check. I think it's something like 10$ a month for one char w/o tetra master which is pretty boring.

sadly you cannot play ffxi on the ps2 slim cuz it does not support the ps2 harddrive that is NEEDED to play
so in effect you need to buy the bigger ps2 a hard drive ( it includes ffxi) and a ps2 modem

ok to clear up any doubts FFXI subscription plan has changed. see when you start out on the game you can play FFXI and you get ONE/1 character slot. YES only 1 character slot to play with and if you want another character slot it costs an extra 1 dollar a month for each char slot extra. its only around 3-4 dollars a month to play FFXI with 1 char slot. however if you want more chars and to be able to play Tetra Master (card game) its an extra 1 dollar a month for each. ALSO its BEST ON PS2

I have to disagree with you there.
I'm on the PC, though it took me a while to get used to the controls, I find it works very well.
And the graphics depends on how you have them set, I've got them bumped up on max, and they're just as good as any other version.
I don't like over populated servers, some of them there are TOO many people on, it's hard to find a good partying spot, and it's jittery, what with all the shouts in Jeuno. I find Valefor to have an ample amount of people on it.
Think there is around 4000 on the server.
