Seriously y is making sprites so complicated:mad: ...actually not coplicated, frustrating. I try to do sprites but they often lack detail and most of the time I give up at halfway. Are there any tips ANYONE can give me on how to manage to make good looking sprites? Often it's hard for me to actually make the cursor go where I want to go...So can u put a grid or something like that on MS Paint? Help will be much appreciated....

P.S. No I won't use ready made sprites :p

Lol nvm I think I found out my prob....I was trying to do complex sprites, so I tried something easier and I think it looks fine, for my first actual complete sprite. I'll post some images once i've finished 2 or 3 of them...

I'd suggest using Paint and a drawing pad xD!

I suggest using "The GIMP", it has a "unique" User Interface. Plus its easier to use! As for Microsoft Paint, use it only when you want simple, simple sprites (You could draw some pretty complicated things with Paint, it just takes too much time).

And if you think you are an artist, try drawing something on paper, then show it to some other spriter and maybe he'll, you know, "Digitalize it" (Ooh that sounds much more exciting xD).

Omg....now u tell me it takes long to do complicated stuff in paint...GOD I just did a 2 hour sprite....(2hours for only 1 sprite...) Anyways can u give me the GIMP site? I googled it but some REALLY weird stuff came up O.o.
Btw the last part just sounds weird..."Digitalise it"...I get some pretty weird images in my head for some reason :D

P.S. Xceed thx for the suggestion but a drawing pad is out of my league for now....(P.S. I probably need to improve my drawing skills as well XD)
