Hello Maplers.

This notice will address a very serious issue in MapleStory - NX Cash Fraud. As many of you have already noticed, our admins have temporarily suspended or permanently banned many users today. This is something we take very seriously and we take action on EVERY infraction of NX Cash fraud.

DO NOT participate in the trade of In-Game items for NX Cash. This will result in a reversed transaction that will lead to an account ban.

We have noticed many users have posted complaints on this topic. Let us clearly dilineate why we are justified in banning accounts and why NX Cash traders deserve to be banned.

The majority of NX Cash trading results in chargeback or reversal. This means we must refund money received for NX Cash. Some users have expressed that this is no big deal. In actuality, we are victims of fraud. More importantly, in addition to cash refunds, we are also paying HEAVY fines to the credit card companies for each fraudulent charge. Simply, we are losing money.

For those of you that are not sympathetic to our corporate loss, NX Cash trading is usually done with a STOLEN credit card or PayPal account. The seller of the NX Cash is essentially charging the NX Cash gift receivers account for in-game items or mesos. As the recipient of NX Cash gift is enjoying MapleStory and the Cash Shop, there is someone tearing their hair out trying to get a refund from their credit card company for purchases they did not make. Simply, the NX Cash gift receiver is taking enjoyment using STOLEN money. Many NX Cash gift receivers are in denial of this fact, but this is the reality. Traded NX Cash often comes from STOLEN money. We can not condone this behavior.

We understand many of today's banned players committed a lot of time and energy into their MapleStory characters. It is unfortunate, but people must take responsibility for their actions. We hope this type of fraudulent behavior ends here. There are still some players that believe high level MapleStory players are above this system or at least a better breed than hackers. This is not the case as these high level players are benefiting from STOLEN money and their actions have resulted in our financial loss, but, more importantly, hardship to credit card and PayPal owners.

Many users have stated that the report request notice was a trap to easily locate and ban NX Cash frauders. Firstly, if you were involved in a resulting fraudulent transaction, you deserve to be banned. Secondly, we do NOT need frauders to report themselves to ban them. Ultimately, the credit card companies and PayPal will notify us of fraudulent purchases. The ban is inevitable. The purpose of the notice was to educate the community that this type of action should not be conducted.

On a similar note, we discourage users from purchasing mesos using real cash. This is against our terms of service. Much of the mesos are obtained through the stealing of MapleStory accounts and hacking. When you see users hacking, they are likely farming mesos quickly to flip them on the secondary market. If you purchase mesos online, you directly supporting the hacking community.

On a side note, we have seen many posts complaining about the GMs not doing their jobs. The GMs are doing the best they can to monitor hacking and foster a fair environment in MapleStory. Please do not discourage the GMs with unfair judgement. Also, do not believe everything that you hear. Many users will claim they got banned for no reason and weave intricate stories with their friends to gain sympathy among the community. We take extra caution to ban hackers, botters, and scammers and we hope you can respect and trust our judgement.

If you were banned, try logging into the game to review the length of your ban.

On a positive note, we are working to implement other payment methods. We know many feel credit cards limit the Cash Shop to a minor segment of our user pool. Please be patient with us as we expand our payment methods.

Lastly, we want to thank all of our honest MapleStory players and Cash Shop users for your support. We are continuously working diligently to bring you the best in online entertainment.

Sincerely,
Stovy

What those cash fraud douchebags don't know is that they could lead to the end of MapleStory. If Wizet doesn't get the money from NX and must pay for those fines to the credit card companies, they will not have enough money to keep the game going on. So for those of you who were involded...**** you.

Actually, if he did get NX cash from a strangers and it turns out to be fraudulent, he would get banned. Both the sender and reciever WILL get banned, no questions asked. But if the reciever suspects they may be involved in something like that, they can report themselves to Wizet, which will result in a lesser, 30-day ban.
