Final Fantasy IV or II in the states, Tales of Phantasia was fantastic (don't expect a happy ending) and Harvest Moon (some people say it's a sim, but once you think about it, it IS an RPG).

You know, emulators sometimes have patches for english in japanese games. But, the games themselves are generally illegal, so I wouldn't recommend that.

Well, personally, I agree with the guy about the golden sun games. It's pretty cool, and they have frigin sweet graphics for a gba game. Also, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones are fun.

If ur a fan of Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom hearts chain of memories was decent.

well we do have the Final Fantasy remakes... and there is an FF6 remake.. >>
My recommendation isn't really an RPG, but it does have a good storyline, so i'll just be a sucker and say Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow is pretty good.

FF Tactics Advance, Riviera (Atlas game, might be hard to find, but still fun), and if you listen to Death Metal while playing Pokemon with your emulator throttled at 300% it's like an acid trip...

the first summon nite is out in the US already.
Also the best rpg ive played for GBA is hands down Shinning Soul 2. It got so much replay value and its really fun playing with a friend. You should try it if u are into action rpgs like diablo and such.

I tried Mother 3 once, and it was okay. But I'm not a fan of EarthBound, so meh. I say go for Summon Night Swordcraft Story.
Off topic: I think I might have to sig that Qennin. "If life gives you lemons, shut the hell up and eat them." Brilliant :)

Breath of Fire 1 and 2 are excellent.
I would go with everyone else and get Summon Night. Riviera is pretty cool, but Summon Night just kicks the *** of every GBA game.

Golden Sun 1 and 2, as everyone else said are just awesome games. GBA Legends. Also, try out Lunar Legend. AWESOME remake of the game, though some might disagree with me. And yes, as Croix said, BoF 1 and 2 are both awesome as well.
About Summon Night. I was reading up on it. Only got like a 7.6 on Gamespot, and they said it's just a dungeon crawler. How is that "kicking the *** of every other game"?

I guess its personal prefference. I really like the style and way its designed. Plus, it brings something new to RPG's.
Oh, Mario Superstar Saga is really good too. And if you consider the Zelda games RPG's, I suggest getting Minish Cap. Its one of the best games I have ever played.

Yeah tbh Mario super star saga is really fun you should try it out... FF remakes are fun ummm FFTA is pretty cool. *EDIT* I umm "acquired" Shinning Soul 2 this game seems really fun ^^. When you level up you get to put your stat points on what you want and you get skill points to put on whatever skill... I made a Dark mage, this game seems really cool tho. You should try it out umm topic starter.
