Well, is Gunz online a game for only one player style gaming? Or is it a massive multiplayer online like silkroad, wow, etc?

It's been an age since I've played, you may be able to play against bots, but I am unsure.

Gunz is massive multiplayer. It's an MMOFPS.

Gunz isn't an MMOFPS, just an OFPS, due to the fact that you enter "Rooms" with a maximum of 16 players in a game. An example of an MMOFPS is Planetside, where you join a world and fight over planets/bases/towers.

Gunz is a fun game, but isn't very noobie friendly.

Too many more than 16 and most people would start to lag.

Also 16 is an even number allowing for team death matches to have 8 vs. 8 maximum (i.e. 17 maximum would just be stupid :p)

Why not 16 in one room? That's only half of Battlefield 2s maximum (I think... got that information from a friend who plays it, not sure if he's right :P) and BF2 is made by a fairly major gaming company; EA, and so can afford to have faster, smoother running servers.
