Make sure the porn you download is safe, most of it is teeming with virus, spyware and malware.

OnRPG's rules prevent me from telling you some of the best stuff. DON'T download pr0n. There is plenty of it you don't need to download.

I was going to say "pr0n," but since you all beat me to it, it'd just be redundant. So I guess I have to be serious.

Best thing I can think of right now is Ad-Aware, and maybe Spy-Bot. Really helpful - and free - spyware scanners/removers. Firefox is a pretty nice browser, if you don't have it and are using IE. Course, just about any browser is better than IE. WinZip/WinRar (same thing, I think) is a nice program for downloading .zip/.rar files or making your own .zip/.rar files. It comes with a 40 day trial, and after that, if you want to keep using it, you have to ignore the "regester or remove" bit. That's about all I can think of right now.

Although I may be shooting past your league, if you have an ASUS motherboard, I advise getting ASUS Probe for it can monitor your fan status and temperature and speed up the fans dependant on temp. It could save your computers life.

Secondly, I'd get Winamp, and Quicktime (however set Winamp to primary).

Third, if you're on internet explorer, I'd go out and get the program "GetRight" for it can substantially speed up your downloads.

Fourth, I'd get Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird (that is, if you check your email) and get them both set up, they are absolute godsends.

Fifth, I'm not sure if I am allowed to talk about bittorrent but nevertheless get Azureus a Peer 2 Peer program that uses the Bittorrent engine.

Sixth, Ventrilo and Teamspeak they are VoIP (Voice over IP) programs which allow you to communicate with other on the net as you would with a modern day telephone, right from your computer.

Seventh, If you're into movie editing, get Sony Vegas Pro 6, it's a bundle of joy in my eyes being as I am a machinima artist.

Eighth, Norton Package (Internet Security, Anti-Virus, Anti-spam)

Ninth, If you are a huge ISO fan and tend to use disk images over CD's themselves, or use Bittorrent often, I advise "Daemon Tools"

And Lastly, Tenth, Civilization 4, I'm bored and I need someone to completely destroy.

Enjoy, if more come to me, I'll let you know.
