Um, no he won't.

See, some people don't like the idea of being poor and being in a apocoloptic world while others live like kings.

The U.S. has no valuble resources to offer except coal. So, why would it effect canada?

@ButPirate

No, this isn't just some "hyped" thing.

Everyone is pulling thier stocks out just like during the Great Depression which is one of the big things that CAUSED the Great Depression.

So, everything will be economically un-balanced.

If you add that to the fact that a loaf of gread will cost 15 bucks about a year from now due to rising gas prices(those companies must pay for gas to transport the stuff), then we could be entering something WORSE then the great depression.

The United States is doomed.

To be frank, I know things look shitty, but I would hope for the best nonetheless.
I mean, all this negativity isn't going to do anyone any good anyway.

Good. I haven't bought a loaf of gread since the 80's anyway.

No, it's not an independent world.

Obviously we buy goods(oil) from places like Iraq.

However, we don't have any valuble resources that Canada couldn't live without.

We aren't rich in oil like Iraq.

The only thing going for us was a good economy and now that's going down the drain.

You will be poor and hungry and I will be too.

Have you ever heard of trade between countries ???

Do you think other nations don't have investments in stocks??

Yes, there will most likely be some sort of "depression" to say there won't be would be foolish. Will it be as bad as the first great depression..probably not.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, doesn't the US have some of its own drilling spots for oil? i.e. Texas, off-coast drilling.

LaoKidBC
10-01-2008, 01:53 AM
Yes we do, but because of one oil spill that killed hundreds of sea creatures, offshore drilling got banned and now we buy oil from some eastern country with extremists promoting terrorism and oil companies love to overprice it.

Canada has close economic ties the States, you know. Not really, we still get most our money from Canadian businesses, Canada would do fine if the US crashed. if we have any stocks or anything we'll get Hit there pretty hard. if America does go into the shitter, Canadians wouldnt be affected that much, All the illegal immigrants from the US will be moving up here but besides that.......
