You're probably thinking of Endless Online, and if you are then you're correct that it's a 2d free mmorpg.

For EA you can find all the files for play on filefront. After that you only need to patch your game because you'll have all zones without very long update.

endless ages, thats free. just goto www.mmoland.com and it plays in a browser with java (dont worry it doesnt have crappy gfx)

It's not free but yu can play all as yu want on the n00b town.
