Hey everyone. This is my first tut so it may be a little bad, but I put a lot of effort and time into it. The sig you'll be making is similar to the one I entered on the GFX competition, but uglier because I don't remember exactly how I made it (I followed no tut) I hope you enjoy it;)

Niiiice. I'm gonna use it, if you don't mind. I'd like to see how it comes out with one of my Link renders lol
Also, how'd you do the border?

Don't worry I won't mind:) I made it for that purpose.

The border is quite simple actually. Make a new layer > Apply Image. After that, go to its blending options > Stroke. Once there locate "fill type" and set it to gradient. The colors I used for the gradient were the same I used on the sig, except lighter, and to a 0º angle.

Sorry to be a noob at Photoshop,
But where is the gradient tool?
I'm used to using GIMP and I'm switching to Photoshop..
Anyone wanna tell me?

Well, there isn't much to it. Type your name and a caption somewhere in the sig. Make sure the font color is similar to it's sourroundings. Pick a default font for these kind of jobs, like Arial. And that's it.

I don't like that finished outcome of that signature tutorial... =_=

The one you did for the "GFX" Competition was awesome though!

:p

Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't remember how I did the other one, I did it without thinking.

Sorry... I'm a complete noob to anything Photoshop (i.e. I don't have Photoshop) so I would like to know... Do you have to buy Photoshop or is it free? If you do have to buy it, how do you buy it? From stores or over the 'net?

Nope. Just go to the top bar and you should see something like this:

File Edit Image Layer Select Filter View Window Help

Click File and then go to New.

Dangit... between saving up for Disgaea 2, Guild Wars Factions (and eventually Nightfall), Grandia 3, and DMC3:SE, I can't afford software! If I could get a price estimate that'd be nice, though.

You could always download the 30 day trial. Try it out first before you plan on buying it.

That's the idea. If it IS removed, then I know someone ripped it.
