DragonGem VS MapleStory :D

well... i voted dragongem... 'cause i have MS >_> too much grinding, some ppl says that in dragon gem quest are more useful as exping... i hope thats right. and also, DG looks cooler :cool:

Lvling in Dragon Gem also takes a long time... but 1-10 only takes 50 minutes (1-8 just from quests so to lvl8 it's like 20 minutes, then grind from 8 to 10 from the acorn/log/red ant quests)...if you know what to do...

Early quests (1-8) give you basically like 80% or more, or whole levels, later quests give you like 5% to 10% or something like that, and the quests are killing a bunch of monsters and collecting stuff and aren't exactly quick.

Dragon Gem is just all around more enjoyable for me. You can't have NO grind in a game, but MS has way too much grind. Dragon Gems grind is acceptable.

Grinding is when you constanly killing the same mobs over and over and over and over again to gain experiences for level up.

I think Dragon Gem JP has only been running for a few months looking @ copyright 2006 thing.
The Exp you get is based on quests.
There is no 3rd job adv or lvl 60 weapons, once you max out your skills and get your weapon, there's no point in leveling since your power is mainly from skill level/weapon.

I've played DragonGem JP, it's alright, yes it's grind is somewhat comparable to Maple Story, but it's apart of the quests, instead of leveling purely for levels.

That's funny how you people claim how Dragon Gem KR was out before any version of Maple Story then.

MS for now.. DG doesn't seem too appealing to me.. I'll try it in english when it finally comes out for good.

Obviously Maple will have higher level, but just because Dragon Gem has lower highest level user, doesn't mean the grind is worst, most people that have played Dragon Gem have said there is much less grind, maybe there is more to the game higher up. How would we know?

Why would you post up a poll like this when the game is not even out yet in english?! I consider this spam...... Its like comparing PS3 to a PS2. The screenshots for DG looks much better but the gameplay is not fully tested by us english players.

very true but from what i see from screen shots i think that dragon gem looks better and from what i heard its easier to lvl ?

Lmao, more detailed. The characters are nearly the same size, there's no way one game can have more details than the other, you're just favoring a game you've barely played, over hyping it like all the other games you guys do. You can't judge a game over another game by just playing for a few hours or less. You've not even tested everything out there.

What? DragonGem JP even beats MS? Is it forking that good...? I only plained Maple, but it got terribly boring. I noticed that was because of my inactive friends nowadays. I'm also hoping for DragonGem ENG. (I really didn't concentrate on this game, so anyone mind telling me the release date?). I cannot choose until I try both.:confused:

I do, I'm just stating why I think Dragon Gem is worser than Maple Story. And you didn't prove anything, the game has been out for a way longer period of time and yet there are characters who aren't even close to the highest level in Dragon Gem? But yet the players in Maple Story who've started I'm guessing 2 years later from what people have been saying are almost just 2 levels away? Now please tell me, how does that make ANY sense that Dragon Gem grind is way less than Maple Story's, especially when people who have talked about it haven't even experienced the advanced levels of the game.

You're the one talking about graphics, I'm just saying Dragon Gem's isn't even more detailed. You don't know anything about the team making the game I'm helping advertising, they're a team of about 3-5 people that are on a LOW budget and volunteer to progress the game, meaning they get no pay. What about Maple Story's and Dragon Gem's team? They have hundreds of people working for the game who gets a salary off the work they do. So maybe you should get some info on stuff before you go critizing games.

I checked the screenshots and DragonGem looks more 3D-ish'er than Maple. But it's still 2D right? They look like 5-10year olds, walking around. But they look awesome!
