Yes, the gamne platform is free to download and use. It's also available by going to the link you provided and clicking on the downloads link at the top. You can also get the most recent version by signing up at elite.kaneva.com (http://elite.kaneva.com). The catch is that if you don't have your game cost money, you need to pay $200/month for server costs. If you have your game cost money, then the server cost is taken care of, plus you need to pay a commercial license fee of $50,000 (which is also taken out of your sales). Basically, you start out (if you charge $10/month) only getting 20% royalty for the first 7 months and then 50% after that unless your game makes a certain amount in which you can get up to 70% royalty (the number to reach is pretty high though).

It's pretty easy to use, though. And very flexible using Python and Lua scripting.
