I am a Junior at Los Osos High School and am currently writing a research paper on "video game programmers". An important requirement I have to meet is interviewing someone who is already in the field. I'm hoping someone will help me out and answer a few questions for me.
1. How much do you enjoy working as a game programmer?
2. How difficult is it to find and hold a job in this field?
3. What type of hours are you required to work?
4. What specific items do you work on.
5. What advice would you give a young student who is interested in this field in the future.
Thanks,
Your help is greatly appreciated.
HopeDagger

Not to sound rude if I am incorrect in saying so, but I don't believe we have any resident professional game developers here that do so for a living. I recommend taking a poke over at GameDev.Net (http://www.gamedev.net) where quite a number of professional devs tend to linger.
Good luck!

Hey Methical, this maybe a useful and fun topic to read after, once you get your results can you post this topic in the development section with links and/or some example results from the questionaire. This is educational and is something I'm definitely interested in hearing, considering the schooling I have chosen.
...And just incase you dont get around to posting it, I'd like to keep in contact with you. So if you want to share your resulsts later I'd appreciate reading them over, my msn/email address is fast_traxx@hotmail.com
Thanks MEthtical (http://www.onrpg.com/boards/../../members/methtical.html),
