@#2 Introduction Part 2
K-Style? What? K-Style, to the ignorant layman, can be described as uber fast button pressing. However, K-Style is a lot harder then it seems. K-Style is using a sword to fly through air and scale up a building with immense speed. Well, let’s get to it!

@#4 Basic K-Style Techniques
This is where K-Style gets hard. Let’s see… we’ll go through WS, LS, SS, another SS, BF, MWR. No idea what I’m talking about? Too bad, read and learn! By the way, the order of the list is the order I recommend you learn the techniques.

WALL SLASH
Comments – This is the basic of K-Style. I suggest you learn this first. It’s basically flying up a wall.

How to – Jump off a wall, slash, dash toward the wall, jump off again, slash, dash. Jump slash dash. Jump slash dash. Repeat.


LIGHT STEP
Comments – This is a pointless move, but is good for practicing K-Style. Useful for getting fingers used to FS and HS, moves we’ll encounter later.

How to – Jump, dash one way, slash, then dash another way. Very simple.


SLASHSHOT
Comments – The first attack tech. The basis of all gun-attack moves within K-Style. The simplest attack, yet possibly more effective then other advanced techs.

How to – Jump, dash, slash-switch [Do it fast, and hold click after you slash],
shoot-jump, [Shoot occurs automatically if you help slash. Do it fast]
Switch back to sword, dash away.


SWITCH SHOT
Comments – Used with dual of one type of gun, EG Shotgun x2, Revolvers x2, etc. It increases attack speed and accuracy.

How to – Shoot, switch to another gun while holding click, shoot, switch while holding click, shoot, switch, shoot, switch, repeat till you run out of ammo, die, or feel you are done.


BUTTERFLY
Comments – Most useful technique in GunZ, IMO.

How to – Jump, dash, slash, block. Repeat, FAST.


MULTI-WALLRUN
Comments – Not too useful, but it deserves a little subsection of its own. Useful for running away, but that’s about it. Also, this is one of those things that you can do perfectly one second, and mess up the next. It’s based all around practice.

How to – Wall run, dash toward wall at about a 35-55º angle. Double press the jump key. Viola!


@#5 Advanced K-Style Techniques

This section is going to cover the finer points of K-Style. FS, HS, HHS, RS, WS, MS, and IK.

FLASH STEP
Comments - A useless move, much like an advanced version of light step.

How to - Jump, dash, slash, weapon switch, sword switch, land, jump (ever so slightly) dash. It looks like a jump dash, a little hop, and another dash.

HALF STEP
Comments – The basic advanced [oxymoronic much?] technique of K-Style. This is basically SS with another little dash. When you slash then switch, you have time for another dash, because the slash isn’t canceled by the gun switch. You dash one way, switch, shoot, and dash another way.

How to - Jump, dash, slash-switch, shoot, dash another way, switch back to sword, dash away.


HALFHALF STEP
Comments – This is basically HS with a little jump in it.

How to - Jump, dash, slash-switch, shoot,
---!!!--- jump,
Dash another way, switch back to sword, dash away.

RELOAD STEP
Comments – Just a faster version of switch shot.

How to – Shoot-reload, switch, shoot-reload, switch, repeat until you want to or need to stop.

MILLIONTH STEP
Comments – Technically, this is a hybrid style, not K-Style. But, hell, I use it. Can’t be that bad! This is HHS with an automatic.

How to - Jump, dash, slash-switch, shoot,
---!!!--- [Be patient till you jump, or you wont do it right] jump,
Dash another way [Dash a little late],
Switch back to sword, dash away.

INSTANTKILL
Comments – Never liked this move.

How to – Way 1. Uppercut, dash – slash. Uppercut, jump, dash – slash. Repeat till enemy is dead.
Way 2. Uppercut, switch to gun, shoot. Switch to sword, jump, dash – slash. Uppercut again. Repeat.
Way 3. Uppercut, shoot rapidly [Works best with automatics, can be done by Switchshotting / RSing with revolvers or shotgun] at enemy.
Way 4. Uppercut, block, shoot, sword, HS front and back at enemy, jump dash, slash, uppercut. Again.

RELOAD[INSERTMOVEHERE]
Comments - This is simply putting a reload after every shot. For instance, a reload HS would be
Jump, dash, slash-switch, shoot[reload], dash another way, switch back to sword, dash away. All this does is cancel out the delay of the shotgun, allowing about .75 second faster HS or HHS, or whatever.

How to - Shoot, reload, switch.

DOUBLE BUTTERFLY
Comments - I like this move. Its basically a beefed up version of butterfly - Its stronger and slower. You attack about 1.5x faster, but you dont move as fast. If you dont dash, its a static DBF. Its for cornering people.

How to - Jump, slash, block, dash, slash, block. OR Jump, slash, block, slash, block.

[B]@#6 K-Style tips, tricks, and pointers.

- Avoid slanted areas [stairs, island by the boats, etc.] They limit K-Style moves.
- Don’t even try to do moves if you know you suck at them. All this will accomplish is getting you humiliated by making other people see you do a pitiful attempt of a move.
- Learning K-Style is a VERY long process. Remember that.
- K-Styling every game is the best way to practice it.
- K-Style skills can’t be taught, it can only be learned through practice.

Armor – There are 4 main parts of armor. Body, hands, feet, and rings. For the body, Pants are more important then jackets. Hands, try to get the beginning gloves till you can get iron gloves. Same with feet. As for rings, get the level 10’s. Great stuff. Personally, I like HP / AP Balance, to a 100-75 ratio [100 HP, 75 AP].

Weapons – There are 3 main types of weapons K-Stylers use. Shotgun, Revolvers, and Rocket Launchers.
Shotgun is the basic type. Semi-concentrated damage, fast bullets, good damage, sort of wide area of attack. Very useful. The jack of all trades. Useful for almost all K-Stylers.

Revolvers are useful for uber pro’s and crap for everyone else. You need suburb aim to use these. Honestly, I have no idea about these. Any info will be appreciated.

Rocket Launchers, the noobie type of weapon… or so people say. This takes less aim, but if you miss, the consequences will be severe, due to the low ammo quantity. You must lead shot well, due to slow bullets and lag nowadays. The area of explosion is quite big, so don’t worry about pinpoint attacks. Also, aim at the ground, not at the person. I don’t recommend these, due to the uber destruction of your aim after a few levels of these launchers.

Also, for melee, swords are better for K-Styling. While others prefer kodachis, as they help with animation clarity, swords do more damage in less time. Also, there are several sword “glitches” used…

BACK MASSIVE
Comments – Breaks through most “blocks”.

How to – About face before you massive. Then massive


SKY MASSIVE
Comments – Breaks through all “blocks”.

How to – Back Massive while looking straight up.


SKYBLOCK
Comments – Blocks all massives except Sky Massive.

How to – Look straight up and block while moving backwards.

The basic K-Style combo. Good accuracy, due to spread, and good damage. Ammo is no limited, making it all around good.

Built around bad aiming. Good aim, low bullets, good damage. Hels with bad aim.

Built around slightly enhanced aiming. Good close range and long range. Maybe hard to use the, the rev. If used correctly, great combo.

You need godly aim for this. NOT RECOMMENDED. If used correctly, amazing and unstoppable.

Edit : You mean in my HS, and HHS. Actually, youre supposed to dash with your gun out. When you slash-switch, the sword animation allows you to dash with a gun out. Of course, the animation is different. But you still move the same distance as a dash...

It allows you to block and slash at basically the same time, or within milliseconds of eachother. Very useful for sword fighting.

Constant attack. End of story. Fast enough to keep them from moving.

I use 1 - prim wep / 2 - sec wep / 3- sword. Block is shift for me.

Wow, isn't that hard to reach? I mean, when you K-Style, you do it so fast...I use Q as Primary Weapon, E as Sword, and F as Secondary Weapon.

We don't use the scrolls, we uses buttons. Keys should be faster then the mouse wheel. >.>;

could you maybe edit the guide to show a rating (X/10) on how easy it is to master (10/10=hardest to master)(1/10 easiest to master) so people can learn in a mastery order

PS: You don't have the Flash Step (I think it is Jump>Slash>Dash>Slash) or Eighth Step (explained on GunZFactor different way of doing HHS)

yes it is POSSIBLE for any1 to learn K-Style but it takes practice time and being with people that are pros at it definitely would help.
i started last week (i'm lvl 9) and i just started to learn K-Style after i saw this one guy get an All Kill in a TDM on even teams of 8 he was Slashshooting like a maniac along with the flying SS (Wall-Climb with a slash-switch-shoot-switch-dash-walljump combo).
so far i can only do an OK SS and a slow wall-climb but i've been practicing when i am unable to connect to the last person on TDM.


as far as lvl cap i'd like to know that answer too

now i have a character and in 50% in ws the butterfly is hard but i dont use it
there is only 1 thing that bf don forget that the sword dosent block ur legs
so when i play with bf ppl i doge roll back and aim for there leggs and press E to swich to anbother auto weapon and eventualy thay die and i escape with minor dmg

I'm self-taught, *without someone showing me, or me reading a guide* :p (except for wall flyie thing which someone else taught me - never actually learnt the terminology correctly). The fact that I'm self-taught is probably why I can't beat the really good people, but my "skills" work on most people.

And if I'm right in what I think Flash Step is, the controls are the normal wall slash flyie thing then an added weapon switch which allows you to shoot while "flying".

Jump -> Slash -> Switch (I use 1, 2 and 3 for speed) -> Switch to sword-> Dash -> Repeat.

This is a "wall-technique", meaning that you have to have a wall to use it.

If I'm wrong, sorry, but this move is useful anyway :)

just to point out, kstyle is also bug exploitation, you werent meant to be able to do it, but anyway, kstyle is BORING! if everyone does kstyle then where's the fun? this game should be about players doing their own styles and comparing their skills with others then learning from defeat. not reading some guide about bug exploitation then learn it to be "pro". i dont do kstyle, and i dont want to because i do things my way, the same way everyone else should be doing it.

so what style do you use?

Hiroku, Gunz has been out about 1-2 years now? The K-Style "bug" that is being "exploited" has been around since then. When it was discovered, lots of people used it. It made the game better, instead of "Tumble, shoot, tumble, shoot, hide, reload, tumble, shoot" etc.

The very fact that the creators have left it there for so long and have even encouraged its development shows that they don't care about its use.

I agree that people should be allowed to use their own styles, but don't go telling me that people who use K-Style are as bad as hackers, exploiting things to their advantage.

i agree with memory, k-style wouldnt be called k-STYLE if ppl didnt do it to meet their own expectations. if they want to do use k-style as their own personal way of playing let them. if u want to do something else like tumbling round spraying then go ahead

(Opinion)Butterfly is far from the most useful move.

(Opinion)Flashstep is the most useful standard move for simply moving about. It is the fastest way to change directions quickly and makes you much harder to hit. BFly you are slower, predictable, and you can't wall climb very easily.

(Facts)Relaod Shot is when after shooting a shotgun (or theoretically any weapon) you reload immediatly to cancel the small animation of the weapon firing. This allows you to switch weapons and shoot again or just do what ever you want a little bit faster then normal. The one thing is that you have put a bit wrong here is that this technique only cancels the animation not the actual delay of shooting the gun. Therefore you cannot chain it forever (well you can but there is no increase in speed) However you can do it really fast once. Anexample might be easier to explain this.

*Shoot sg* *reload immediatly* *Swich weapon* *shoot again* - doing this perfectly (or near perfectly) allows a very fast double shot of the shotgun.

repeating that by chaining reloads after the second shot is pointless because all this does is cancel the animation not the actual delay. Another example:

*Shoot sg* *reload immediatly* *Swich weapon* *shoot again* *reload* *switch* *WAIT FOR WEAPON DELAY ON THE FIRST SG* *shoot again with first sg* - and so on and so forth.

So reload shot is only really effective for one swap shot then you have to wait.

(Fact)Windstep is the complete wrong move here. Although this is a common missconception. Using reload shots ina half step actually has no name. Windstep is a completely different move also reffered to as Mos Step because mosnanda created it. I will quote the wikipedia gunz entry to describe this accuratly.

Mos Step / Wind Step
( JUMP -> DASH -> SLASH -> SWITCH TO GUN -> JUMP -> DASH {AIM NOW} -> SHOOT -> JUMP -> DASH) Contrary to popular belief, this is NOT reload shot. Players mentioned MosNanDa's "Wind Step," and in the same few days, other players introduced Reload Step, which is a move that many players in Korean GunZ use. Reload step and Wind Step however, are not one and the same. Wind Step is a shooting step similar to half step, halfhalf step, or full step, but only a few players know the actual Wind Step. It is basically a Half Half Step with an extra Jump Dash for connection.


Windstep is not a very useful move but it is different to what you described nontheless.

(Opinion)Millionth step is quite possibly the "move" that is least deservering of a name. You can HS/HHS with any weapon but for some reason when you do it with an automatic it is whole new move. >_< This is just something that has always bugged me a bit and it has nothing to do with your guide at all xD

(Fact)To clear up all the blocking and massives I'll just describe everything starting with the basics.

There are going to be two players in my examples that I will name now to help clarify things. Player A and player B. In all my examples player A slashed player B while player B was blocking. Player A is momentarly "stunned" and player B has an instant Massive.

NORMAL SITUATION WITH NO GLITCHES:
Player B uses his massive attack on player A who is stunned and it lands.

First Glitch, Glitch block (it prob has 1000 names but ill just call it this for now):
Player A Holds down "BLOCK" while he is stunned and player B tries to massive Player A but fails because player A is blocking.

Second Glitch, called Back Massive here:
Player A is Holding down Block and Player B turns his back to player A and uses his massive stike. The massive lands on player A inspite of the fact that player A was blocking because Player B was facing backwards.

Third Glitch, Sky Block:
Player A holds down the block key and looks straight up into the sky. Player B faces backwards and uses his massive attack. The massive does NOT land because player A was looking in the sky while he blocked.

Fourth Glitch, called Sky massive here:
Player A Holds down Block and looks straight up. Player B turns backwards and faces straight up and uses his massive attack. It lands inspite of the fact that player A was skyblocking because player B was facing straight up when he used the massive.

Fifth Glitch, i will call Ground block (again prob has alot of names):
Player A holds down block and looks straight down. Player B turns backwards and looks straight up and uses his massive attack. The massive does NOT land because player A was blocking straight DOWN while player B massived straight UP.

Sixth Scenario:
Player A holds down block and looks straight DOWN. Player B does a normal backwards massive attack (NOT sky massive). The massive LANDS even tho player A was ground blocking.

So if you actually read all of that you would realize that it becomes a 50-50 chance of massives landing on players that know all the glitches. Player A (the one who is blocking) Skyblocks or ground blocks and player B wither Sky massives or Back massives. It is 50-50 if it lands or fails so what most pro players do is right after player A is countered and is "stunned" they simply uppercut them and do an instakill instead of risking a 50-50 massive.

Sweet guide i'll try to learn from it but wuts the difference between e-style and k-style? and yes im new to gunz

e-style is pretty much similar to what you do in ordinary shooters in some cases. theres more tactics to it and you can aim better because theres less rapid movements. e-stylers tend to do stuff such as sniping, ambushing and so on. e-stylers dont exploit any bugs in the game. k-stylers exploit tons of bugs constantly and cause minor lag due to sending lots of packets, they move freakishly fast but it ruins their aim a bit so it takes practice to get used to. im an e-styler cause of the lag and bug exploitation i didnt bother completely learning k-style and jus tstopped using it (i only use one kstyle move in emergencies, wall flying) just to point out i have nothing against k-stylers i just post the truth and if you deny the things about either of the style then your an idiot cause its true.

If you use revolvers and u want to x2 it. I suggest you buy a semi-auto rev. it makes up the lack of speed shooting the revolver.

I think any spray weapon paired with any single shot weapon works well. anyone try single revs? they are more useful than I thought. They reload in 1 tumble.

i am practicing a lot but there many who's better than me... are you playing in the international version.? im very bored waiting for the final version to come..

now the servers are only two because there are few playing.. i think that is because of the old version.. but they have minimized the number of hackers.

actually half step is usefull to hit those who dont turn off their gunz sound so that you can hit them without making a sound

(I can BF fast enoguh to not make a sound bt there are some that can't)

Anyone ever realize you can bf without ever hitting shift? You can hold down the left mouse button to slash, and then immediately hold down the right mouse button as well to block. I'm not sure if many ppl know this or not......but if you don't, your welcome.

K-Style? What? K-Style, to the ignorant layman, can be described as uber fast button pressing. However, K-Style is a lot harder then it seems. K-Style is using a sword to fly through air and scale up a building with immense speed. Well, let’s get to it!

@#4 Basic K-Style Techniques
This is where K-Style gets hard. Let’s see… we’ll go through WS, LS, SS, another SS, BF, MWR. No idea what I’m talking about? Too bad, read and learn! By the way, the order of the list is the order I recommend you learn the techniques.

WALL SLASH
Comments – This is the basic of K-Style. I suggest you learn this first. It’s basically flying up a wall.

How to – Jump off a wall, slash, dash toward the wall, jump off again, slash, dash. Jump slash dash. Jump slash dash. Repeat.


LIGHT STEP
Comments – This is a pointless move, but is good for practicing K-Style. Useful for getting fingers used to FS and HS, moves we’ll encounter later.

How to – Jump, dash one way, slash, then dash another way. Very simple.


SLASHSHOT
Comments – The first attack tech. The basis of all gun-attack moves within K-Style. The simplest attack, yet possibly more effective then other advanced techs.

How to – Jump, dash, slash-switch [Do it fast, and hold click after you slash],
shoot-jump, [Shoot occurs automatically if you help slash. Do it fast]
Switch back to sword, dash away.


SWITCH SHOT
Comments – Used with dual of one type of gun, EG Shotgun x2, Revolvers x2, etc. It increases attack speed and accuracy.

How to – Shoot, switch to another gun while holding click, shoot, switch while holding click, shoot, switch, shoot, switch, repeat till you run out of ammo, die, or feel you are done.


BUTTERFLY
Comments – Most useful technique in GunZ, IMO.

How to – Jump, dash, slash, block. Repeat, FAST.


MULTI-WALLRUN
Comments – Not too useful, but it deserves a little subsection of its own. Useful for running away, but that’s about it. Also, this is one of those things that you can do perfectly one second, and mess up the next. It’s based all around practice.

How to – Wall run, dash toward wall at about a 35-55º angle. Double press the jump key. Viola!


@#5 Advanced K-Style Techniques

This section is going to cover the finer points of K-Style. FS, HS, HHS, RS, WS, MS, and IK.

FLASH STEP
Comments - A useless move, much like an advanced version of light step.

How to - Jump, dash, slash, weapon switch, sword switch, land, jump (ever so slightly) dash. It looks like a jump dash, a little hop, and another dash.

HALF STEP
Comments – The basic advanced [oxymoronic much?] technique of K-Style. This is basically SS with another little dash. When you slash then switch, you have time for another dash, because the slash isn’t canceled by the gun switch. You dash one way, switch, shoot, and dash another way.

How to - Jump, dash, slash-switch, shoot, dash another way, switch back to sword, dash away.


HALFHALF STEP
Comments – This is basically HS with a little jump in it.

How to - Jump, dash, slash-switch, shoot,
---!!!--- jump,
Dash another way, switch back to sword, dash away.

RELOAD STEP
Comments – Just a faster version of switch shot.

How to – Shoot-reload, switch, shoot-reload, switch, repeat until you want to or need to stop.

MILLIONTH STEP
Comments – Technically, this is a hybrid style, not K-Style. But, hell, I use it. Can’t be that bad! This is HHS with an automatic.

How to - Jump, dash, slash-switch, shoot,
---!!!--- [Be patient till you jump, or you wont do it right] jump,
Dash another way [Dash a little late],
Switch back to sword, dash away.

INSTANTKILL
Comments – Never liked this move.

How to – Way 1. Uppercut, dash – slash. Uppercut, jump, dash – slash. Repeat till enemy is dead.
Way 2. Uppercut, switch to gun, shoot. Switch to sword, jump, dash – slash. Uppercut again. Repeat.
Way 3. Uppercut, shoot rapidly [Works best with automatics, can be done by Switchshotting / RSing with revolvers or shotgun] at enemy.
Way 4. Uppercut, block, shoot, sword, HS front and back at enemy, jump dash, slash, uppercut. Again.

RELOAD[INSERTMOVEHERE]
Comments - This is simply putting a reload after every shot. For instance, a reload HS would be
Jump, dash, slash-switch, shoot[reload], dash another way, switch back to sword, dash away. All this does is cancel out the delay of the shotgun, allowing about .75 second faster HS or HHS, or whatever.

How to - Shoot, reload, switch.

DOUBLE BUTTERFLY
Comments - I like this move. Its basically a beefed up version of butterfly - Its stronger and slower. You attack about 1.5x faster, but you dont move as fast. If you dont dash, its a static DBF. Its for cornering people.

How to - Jump, slash, block, dash, slash, block. OR Jump, slash, block, slash, block.

[B]@#6 K-Style tips, tricks, and pointers.

- Avoid slanted areas [stairs, island by the boats, etc.] They limit K-Style moves.
- Don’t even try to do moves if you know you suck at them. All this will accomplish is getting you humiliated by making other people see you do a pitiful attempt of a move.
- Learning K-Style is a VERY long process. Remember that.
- K-Styling every game is the best way to practice it.
- K-Style skills can’t be taught, it can only be learned through practice.

Armor – There are 4 main parts of armor. Body, hands, feet, and rings. For the body, Pants are more important then jackets. Hands, try to get the beginning gloves till you can get iron gloves. Same with feet. As for rings, get the level 10’s. Great stuff. Personally, I like HP / AP Balance, to a 100-75 ratio [100 HP, 75 AP].

Weapons – There are 3 main types of weapons K-Stylers use. Shotgun, Revolvers, and Rocket Launchers.
Shotgun is the basic type. Semi-concentrated damage, fast bullets, good damage, sort of wide area of attack. Very useful. The jack of all trades. Useful for almost all K-Stylers.

Revolvers are useful for uber pro’s and crap for everyone else. You need suburb aim to use these. Honestly, I have no idea about these. Any info will be appreciated.

Rocket Launchers, the noobie type of weapon… or so people say. This takes less aim, but if you miss, the consequences will be severe, due to the low ammo quantity. You must lead shot well, due to slow bullets and lag nowadays. The area of explosion is quite big, so don’t worry about pinpoint attacks. Also, aim at the ground, not at the person. I don’t recommend these, due to the uber destruction of your aim after a few levels of these launchers.

Also, for melee, swords are better for K-Styling. While others prefer kodachis, as they help with animation clarity, swords do more damage in less time. Also, there are several sword “glitches” used…

BACK MASSIVE
Comments – Breaks through most “blocks”.

How to – About face before you massive. Then massive


SKY MASSIVE
Comments – Breaks through all “blocks”.

How to – Back Massive while looking straight up.


SKYBLOCK
Comments – Blocks all massives except Sky Massive.

How to – Look straight up and block while moving backwards.

Awesome Guide, but does it matter what type of keyboard and mouse you have to do these moves successfully? Because it's either the ones I have or I still need help with them.

It doesn't matter what keyboard / setup you use.
Just use whatever is comfortable.

Good tutorial but it's not full you are missing lots of the really hard moves that you didnt include on the list
