Hi peoples is DragonGem like Maplestory becuase maplestory was kind of gay a little bit but this looks a little better lol :D and is it Fun?

Ok...before I tell you the stuff you wanna hear, here is the part you don't wanna hear...read the other topics before posting one. Now for what you wanna hear, in a way it's sorta like MapleStory, but I hear there is less grind, and more quests, plus better graphics as you probably already know. I assume it will be more fun than MapleStory.

No it's not. You may think the graphics looks similar, but it's not. DG seems to have more comic like graphics which I find it funny somehow. The only similarities I find is there 4 classes. Thief, Swordsman, Archer, Wizard.

but the theif is totally diffrent in maplestory you cant killed monster in one hit unless you use L7 >_>

Being that I have played both games. Yes the grind in maplestory is enough to quit the game, the grind in DG is particularly " Fun " specially becuase the quest system is really good, lots of them.

I enjoy DG graphics more so than Maplestory on that note = P. Another thing, I realised the Skills in DG are far better than the ones in maplestory I mean for example right when you change into your class you have many skills to buy and get at lvl 10 ( easy to get to ) and you have Area of Effect skills which are just fun among others.

Their might be a Pvp/Pk system later on down to line is what they said, their isn't a answer yet about it, they want the game to be for children aswell and they dont know if PvP will be okay for them, but that doesn't mean they won't make it, was more of a " Maybe " responce, if so it'd be down the line. I think they will have Pvp later, with all the feedback.

It's hard to tell, but the game Map / World did see bigger than Maplestory and thats without knowing of any dungeons in this game, but I did explore a lot in the short time I played.

Overall, it should be much better than Maplestory, and maybe they'll release a lot of new content over the coarse of time we play, heard mini games were gonna be implemented among other ideas pets minigames pvp / pk ( maybe ) More items and Map/ World Content Item Shop ( pay for items ect ) and other stuff who knows.

Another similarity that you left out, which of course is a given, the side scrolling, and I didn't say that the graphics were similar, I said they were better lol.

and your information to back this up ? None exactly. I already have proven my points up above, after this game the only people that'd be playing Maplestory are the ones that have not heard of DG, lol. Give me some information of why MapleGRIND is better and I'll prove them wrong.

the only reason im sayin this is bcuz their monsters are really not that great... i mean comon.. they have the witch from snowwhite as a monster... not to mention many other idiotic monsters that really should not be called monsters at all... the highest lvl monster is a little girl T_T... if it wasnt for the monsters i would be happy to play this game

Well look at Maple Story! I play it and I've always questioned why I was killing SNAILS AND MUSHROOMS! It seems like MS was based in someone's backyard, seeing as how you're killing snails, stumps, snakes, mushrooms...slimy things. lol But really, DG is not that far of a stretch when it comes to monsters.

I don't care if I have to fight a whole army of little girls and chickens, aslong as they will implement pvp and keep new content up. So far I love the skill variety and no grind, quests keep me staying I can say more but I've already said enough on the first page.

people i played a different version awhile ago, the game didnt seem too popular and if you ask my no maplestory graphics IS NOT WORSE or these any better, they are both different type of graphics, for some reason when i think of this game i think lunch box game lol, got it from the battleon game XD anyways you think its bigger than mapple? have you checked omega sector, ossyria el nath....orbis...and now even aqua road is out in global version (believe me the swiming thing is fun XD) and also there is the florina beach as well as ludibrium...


in other words its plain and simple, btoh are the same and different in many ways, and also i didnt say it wasnt fun, only reason i stopped playing the foreign version was because i got stuck, i think i had to kill a boss monster or somehtin >>;

Yeah but, based on what I've heard, DG is pretty big already. It's only been released to the public and it's already that big? I think they're planning on adding a lot more.

P.S. I'm not trying to say DG is better than MS, it's just that I'm trying not to make assumptions about a game I've never played.

Once I play dg I can tell you which is better...

Oh and if you have a few potions you and oh... 22k you can go threw most of maple story in 3 hours.. provided the ships don't take forever...

Dude....ossyria=orbis and nath. And regardless, all those areas are very small, because you can get from one end of a map to another in about 5 seconds with haste. But in dg it takes about 15 seconds for me to get to another map. Plus its just more colorful and keeps your attention.

The reason why they look the same is because they use the same program maker as maplestory but with more cartoonish graphics but it will get better soon since maplestory has been in business longer so i assume dragongem will have that crap with selling items i really hope they dont or i probably wont play it.......

Umm....the thing about MS being in business longer, are you sure about that I think it's the other way around I think its DG that's been in business longer, at least the foreign language of it, if I have heard this information correctly.:)

Maple Story came first.

The foreign version of DragonGem has been out longer, while the English MS (obviously) has been out way longer. I've played MS for quite a while (sig), and I've started playing DG... and from what I see so far, DG is the overall better of the two. :) I won't go any deeper than that, you all can see for yourselves.

Yeah, I mean who wants originality? Lets just have every game, have the same monsters! Genius!

But seriously, don't bash a game just based on its monsters, thats madness. Personaly, I think cute little things are the root of all evil and would rather kill them than anything else.
