i'd rather you prefer getting a 4s composite or a 2s arbalest or gakkung, while hunting hydras and skeleton workers.

like the one above me said.. a +10 composite bow[4] with 4 hydras to PVP or 4 turtle general (VERY RARE AND HARD TO GET CARD) can do the job easly..
the hydra is the perfect card for PVP i think and the turtle general have the same effect like the hydra.. but this effect works not only on players.. also on monsters so if u will have 4 turtle general cards.. put them in a +10 composite bow and then u got the best bow for PVP and also the best bow for PVM

the composite bow[4] u can find in comodo field 08... try to get like 30-40 composite bow[4] and make one of them into +9 or enev +10 if u have time and u feel lucky =]

honestly, however, i really doubt the use of bows later on. i mean, i only can do freaking a minimum of 100 damage with bows against LKs :|

Actually 4 hydra cards are not the most efficient way to do this. To understand why you need to understand that the calculation for damage (extremly simplified mind you) goes like this:

Total Damage = Base Damage * Size * Type * Element

Keep in mind this is a gross oversimplification to enunciate the point clearly.

Now as you can see its more effective to add %'s that are seperated from each other, as they add to the one before it. For instance with 4 hydra cards and an assumption of 100 damage to make things simple:

X = 100 * 1 (varies with weapon and cards, we'll assume 1 as a sword) * 1.8 (4 hydras at +20%) * 1 (Assuming no other cards in weap. and non elemental armor).

Using your Quad bloody weapon we achieve 180 damage. Not bad, but could be better.

Now if instead we use a double bloody double boned weapon (boned = +20% vs medium size)

X = 100 * 1.4 * 1.4 * 1

We now achieve 196 damage. An improvement of 11.25%. Relatively minor, sure. But that could mean the differance in a pvp match, and its not any harder to achieve, so why not?

(As stated, all calculations are grossly oversimplified, and dont take into account min / max hit, armor, and the much more complicated expressions needed therein. It does however illustrate the point that %'s from seperate "sections" stack and multiply within themselves in a sort of exponential equation)

even with that... it's still rather pathetic how a bow becomes unsuccessful later on..

eventually people are gonna get falcon assault along with traps like ankle snare, shockwave, and blast mine.

u can get apple o' archer in payon dun lvl 2 killing skel archers (they also can be found in payon dun lvl 4 but.. hard place for your lvl i think)

and i just thought about a nice bow.. why not to get sidewinter card on the bow? (double attack lvl 1) pretty cool double dmg.. and with falcon and 176 Aspd with like 50-60 luk it will be ALOT of dmg... mm not so much dmg.. but alot of small hits.. ALOT of them!! first the regular shot.. sec the double if success.. and last the 5 hits of the falcon.. i think its pretty good

yea i think u should go for looting.. and by looting u can also get some nice selling items like opal (selling for 3K in shop).. so go and get your pots there..

and sidewinder card give u double attack lvl 1 skill.. very good card i think.. i have a bow-user rouge.. and on each of my bows i have this card on

it's hard to kill them yes, but later on... it's gonna be better with the experience you get.
