I've noticed since beta was wiped, and Ossyria came with the launch of the official global server, there've been less and less Ice mages and more and more fire mages coming along.

I'd just think it would be pretty cool if there was another uprising of ice mages, i don't know, I just think so.

I've always liked ice mages better anyway.

I've noticed a decline in all wizards overall. I haven't seen many around lately. The magicians I do find are usually clerics :/ I've noticed an increase of assassins, crossbowmen and dragon knights.

Well, actually I have an Ice mage and I do like them a lot better then any other mage, I find that they're unique compared to all the other types of mages. :p

Fire mage are the harder of all the mages. They dont have skill except magic claw that go thru walls. But since 3rd job was release, people want to build 3rd job character instead of 2nd job. But i saw a lot of ice mage tho, its only they train in different area.

I love ice mages, and if i ever get my mage to 30 again its going to be ice/lit, but lit first this time.. i need an AoE skill on one of my characters

Who doesn't love Ice. SO useful in training and mostly hunting. Freeze the momsters making us immune to attacks.

They are only weak because they have element. Meaning so Pros and Cons. But lets say a Fire mage was training at EL Nath they are Strong. But if they train, let's say, on clangs. they are weak.

I must disagree. I find it over populated with clerics and ice wizards. I would like to see more fire mages though. Also there has been a fairly higher increase of assasins(Including Me) Lol:cool:

I think its because in beta there was no Ossyria... Now we have Ossy, with all its fire-weak monsters. When a new world comes out with a bunch of Ice-weak monsters, then we will probably see a horde of new Ice mages.

What do you mean by to slow? SLow leveling, or slow pace action compared to the sin?

Leveling isn't so great because it's slowed down so much by the Casting Speed of Ice, IMO.

But , training on monsters that are harder , by what I mean when I say harder, as in a higher level, Don't you find it easier? SInce you wont get hit because of the freeze effect.

You can only freeze one monster at a time, which is a downer. And then there's Lit which is only strong against monsters weak to Lightning effect.

Well I did enjoy my ice/light mage a lot before my account was hacked, it's a really good money make more or less like the other mages, but I can really think of more pros for an ice mage then the other mages. :) Just my opinion really heh. Lates

Lit is so weak. Ice is the way to go, Lit is only ood at clangs, and you fight clangs at lvl 50, SO might as well do Ice, faster trainingm then lit 2nd for lvl 50

I agree with the Lit people... I had an Ice/Lit mage in beta who maxed Ice first, and it was DEAD boring to play. If I made another Ice/Lit mage now I would totally go Lit first.

Who cares if its not quite as strong as Ice? The point is you train on lower lvl mobs but kill em en-mass rather than one at a time.

yea...i've noticed that too....but, you never know, maybe in the 4th job...the ice/lit wizzy will PWN, and then more peopel will switch over....SO, its kinda like the "fashion" in a sense...that other classes are popular....

Maybe it is. But later on you have BOTH Ice and Lit, so it makes no difference which one you got first... And I personally believe that levelling up at lower levels is faster/more fun with Lit than it is with Ice.

Broa is full of mages, all kinds. I don't really see Ice/Lit ones though because I'm in Nath 97% of my time..so that could be why. I prefer Fire anyways. ;D

Ossy has a few that are weak to ice, those being Cellions and Lioners both big and small. But yeah I'm an Ice/Lit mage, I see a lot of my kind due to the location that I train in but other than that I see lots of clerics and fire mages if anything. Ice mages rule dagnabit.

I agree, ice mages are a dying population. I dont see very many anymore. Every high level ice mage is at vikings, and vikings is not even THAT populated here in scania.

At first there was ossy, where fire mages had the upper hand. Then when ludi came, most people thought ice mages would get something more, but they didn't. The only monster weak to ice in ludi is buffoons, and those SUCK. However, vikings are weak to thunder, which is a plus. Also, vikings are freezable, Death teddies also. 3rd job ice mages have some trouble until they got their skills all maxed and can solo vikings efficiently.

BTW, ice strike has GODLY range.

thats cause everyone is realizing that clerics are "good"...or at least better than expected.
