i noticed the polygon mod for FF 7, but why didn't anyone create such a mod for FF8? i've been dreaming of seeing a pc remake of FF VIII with better graphics, or in the shape of a total conversion for another game (dungeon siege II engine would fit right in here). don't know, i've always liked FF VIII, but the 640*480 lock and crappy graphics just didn't do ... if someone would manage to get 60% better polygons on that, it would look a lot better ...

The reason nobody has made one is because out of all the FF games, that one was the worst.

I think X-2 was the worst. It was way to short and they just threw it together it seemed. Final Fantasy VIII has a PC version but I have not seen graphic Mods. I have seen some VIII Mods so I will look into it. I believe they increased the graphics slightly on the PC version.

ff8 wasnt the worst one it was actually pretty cool AND it added TETRA MASTER ! the awesome ff card game !

WTF how is FF8 the worse? I think X2 is the worst IMO, FF8 is awesome, FF9 was even cooler..... everyone thinks every final fantasy game is crap because FF7 rocks so much....I seriously don't see what's so great about FF7, yea good story kinda, long game, but really... and then FF10 is too linear, FF10x2 makes it less linear with no plot or story lol.

ive got FF7 and FFX2 but i borrowed my friends FF8 and 9 before. FFX2 is BY FAR the WORST final fantasy game ever.

i wouldn't see why FF8 was the worst, i liked playing that, it had these very nice Guardian Forces and the card game and for christ sake, it has Cactuar ! every FF game with chocobo's and Cactuar is cool.

FF IX is the best! X-2 and FF VIII isn't that fun in my opinion. I really hope they will do a remake of FF VII to PS3:D

i hate this game lol you need to draw magic there isnt even a magic class that sux and you must draw evrything like GF's i missed eden 2 times i missed carbuncle and some others ( i shame to much t say the other 1 :D)

I liked FF8, as well as 7, 9 and 10 (never played 10-2).

The focus (as far as FF modding) has been on FF7 PC for the longest time, FF8 PC modding is only now starting to pick up. Odds are you won't be seeing many "super-awesome-high-quality-everything" mods for FF8, they just don't have the tools or the support for it. It's not because FF8 is the worst FF, by any means.

The best you'll probably find (mod-wise) for FF8 PC is a full-game translation to various languages.

I can see why people don't prefer FF VII, but how could you hate it? It's a classic game!
