I'm considering buying this game or its sequel MA2. Which is better multiplayer and singleplay wise? I put a lot of stock in multiplayer. Is it any good? I don't wanna waste $10.

Not sure about singleplayer or multiplayer but the first one is better than the second, I've read a lot of reviews on both games and just about every single one said that first is better than second.

Mech Assault those old great games for Microsoft back in like 90's? Well I loved them but I doubt the multiplayer will be very big right now. How old is the game?
If it is a microsoft created game it will probably have the MSN gaming community where you have to install something, make a room and people join, once you start the game, the game will launch and bring you to the screen. If this is it you can usually search the internet for about how many people play. But usually it is not many. Such as Age of Empire II has about 500 people on max that play online. (These people are crazy good)

I have MA 1. I didn't really bother going online, but I did have some fun multiplayer matches with my friend. The campaign is insanely hard.

I'd recommend getting MA 2. It improves on MA 1 in a lot of ways, fun multiplayer in my opinion.

I don't have Xbox Live and probably will never be graced by its presence so system link parties are about as big as we get. We've gotten a bit tired of playing 8 on 8 Halo 2 so we were considering buying a few copies of MA 2 (Its like $8 now). Thanks for the input Madcow.

OOH THE XBOX VERSION, it cam onto Xbox after PC, any ways I really doubt it will have a large online player base compaired to other games.

I believe they remodled the game especially the latest mech assault but that was back then I dont know what they have done now.Since the titles is still under the same name and not a new one.
