I did say "And on a serious note" straight after. Not to be an asshole, but learn to recognize a joke, however bad it is.

DragonGem I believe is way worse than Maplestory.
With DragonGem, the jumping gravity is far too quick and doesn't have enough gravity. Sometimes, when you fall off an edge, you immediatly fall to the bottom of the ground, which is really lame. Also, the combat is very laggy.
Maplestory has been out a lot longer, which means it has a tons more stuff to do, a WORKING platform system that feels good when you play, and the battle system is actually fun to use. Also, DragonGem basically ripped off Maplestory's key setup.

Although I've never played DragonGem- just judging from the looks, I'd much prefer it.

Maplestory for me- gets boring way too fast.

I would pick Dragongem over Maplestory because of the lagless gameplay and because of all those stupid kids running around calling everyone noob for no reason. I was just training at pigs beach for like 3 hours and 2 thief lower level than me come and call me a noob then defame me. That is so rediculous!:mad:

MapleStory is a good game to play alone with thechat turned off, DG...well isnt working for me right now so ill get back to you on that.

I respect your choices of ms over dg. But DG is not a clone. Many times over this has been discussed and it's been proven, it's NOT a clone. If you notice, this was Zemi's first game. Which in-turn started the company. And if you ever got an error from DG you'll notice the copyright dates were1996-2006, in other words, it was started in the 90s-Note: the ending in 2006 does not mean it was just released, it just means the date was renewed and changed to 2006. So if MapleStory was even released before it, Zemi was still working on the game way before MS was even started (*cough*2002*cough). Also, ever wonder why the text is like that? And why the graphics are like that?! ZOMG can it be because...MapleStory was released in America years ago, and the relic we're playing now just got the light of day? Can it also bebecause the game was started in the 90s?

To you, read what I said above. But you can't rate a game on gravity alone. These are still test servers. If you played on the foreign version, you'd see that everything runs smoother, and basically, is smoother. No lag when only a handful of players are on or anything.

to people who are saying ''maplestory has been out alot longer'' , have u ever actually seen a flaming post about dg and ms? , everybody says that ms was first , but do some research , dg came out around 1999-2000 , thats why the graphics r pretty bad , the lag in the attack doesn't matter , who tf cares , all have there opinions, i personally voted for dg tho ;)

But after all these years couldn't they fix up the graphics? Even if they were in poduction, couldn't they see the graphics that their competition has and step their game up? No I can't make a game or w/e, but after so many years, you'd think they would upgrade.

i think they like to keep them original and unique , so there not competing with higher graphics , and btw , if you took the time , u probly could make a game:p lol

back on topic: the gravity and stuff may be a little slow , but its just a feature in the game that seperates it from others , i dont really know but maplestory get s boring right at lvl 10 lol, i like dragongem because there is always something to do , quests , help out friends , save up for skills , level up for lvl 15 skills to buy , its just pure fun ;)

Actually, If you played Maple recently, they added some new stuff. A few more quests, and some new features I think. The bad cummunity is still there though.

i tried to get into it last week , within the 1st day i uninstalled it saying ''**** this its just a waste of space'' , so i dled ryl2 for a try :p

EDIT: instead of goin for maplestory or dragongem , play some kingdom hearts 1 and 2 , i was addicted , i only stoped to eat and sleep , i played for 24 hours on 2 and 12 hours on 1 , 2 pwns!!!

Yea, I played KH2 and own KH1. I got to lvl 54 on KH2, I spent a whole 2 days playing it. It was great. Ending rocks.

To get it you must beat the game 100% on the middle mode or beat the game anyway on proud mode.

Dragon Gem lagged for me for some reason - attacks seemed unresponsive, held down/tapped attack button and I attacked 5 seconds later. Maybe I was just lagging at that time, but I found it unplayable.

They both suck.

Maple Story:

-Terrible community full of 10 year old kids who think they are cool because they pay money for fame.

-The entire game is a grind.

-The monsters and graphics are very repetative.

-The mods are a bunch of care-bear morons that ban people for the stupidest reasons.

-Everyone is an *** hole. Especially the mages. Wherever you go, there will always be someone to steal your kills.

Dragon Gem:

-The server is crappy and laggy.

-Again, the entire game is a grind.

-The skills suck.

-The classes suck.

-The equipment sucks.

-Everything is too expensive. Monsters should actually drop some form of currency instead of a crappy item that sells for 4 gold and the occasional piece of equipment that sells for enough to get enough potions to keep you alive.

-The quests are repetative and not worth it.

Both of these games are lame. PW games are more entertaining.

classes and equips can never suck, because that means just about ever other game sucks. because every damn thing is the same. And DG, not a grind. It's quest based. If you actually do the quests you'll see you get a crap load more exp. And it's really easy to get money, I actually bought all of my job wares at level 4, because quests proided the money for it. And the community, alot better than MS. As for the PW thing, that's a big exxageration. :P
