Yes, yes, I know it's been posted before, but I really don't think that it has gotten the attention and respect it deserves. Since I started playing the community has grown ALOT...For those of you who don't know what Tremulous is, it's a scifi ailen-vs-human mmofps...Ailens are like little bug things but can evolve into larger, more powerful monsters...and humans are really called "space marines" (lol) and eventually you can exchange your cash for better weaponry and armor...

Tremulous was first released as a Quake3 mod but was later released as a stand-alone game, totally free...it's quite fun, but I suggest to play on a server with more build points** (join the one called SST Tremulous)...

Been playing for about a month and it's pretty fun,except when a noob joins and deconstructs all of your stuff...Well,my ign is usualy Groek,in either green or black (black because copycat noobs dont usualy know how to do black)

I play occasionally. I'm awful as human's. Alien's ftw.

Normally there are anywhere from 40 to 75 servers and the game averages between 100 and 400 people playing at any given time. For a free game, with hardly any word of mouth other than sites like this, I say that's pretty damn good!


Right now there are 55 servers and 186 players.

Well no offense but you're a big dummy :p ...click GET SERVER LIST on the top of the empty server page, tada, your list has been populated...

is it me or do the settings dont apply or something? like i change my name and it like resets to the default every time i start the game back up

Then you don't know how to play Alien's. >_> Alien's aren't made for rushing in at first. You need to hide on ceiling's and whatnot, then jump the human's.

Here again to clarify a couple things for new people joining Tremulous.
There are a couple of randomly occuring bugs in the game;Most dont affect you much,but there is one that will kick you from the room you are in after the match is over.Do not panic if this happens,just rejoin the game once the match starts.
A couple useful frases(i know i spelled that wrong) for new peeps:
Jet Whore:a human who uses the jetpack to get very high up;Too high for any alien to reach,and shoots at aliens without coming down.CAN BE KILLED (im just l337 i guess)...
Lucy Spam:Fairly self-explanitory.A human who uses the Lucifer Cannon in rapid succesion.The gun is meant to be charged up first,and spamming overpowers it.It doesnt lose much power if you spam,and saves energy.Looked down and bannable in some/most servers.
Deconner:Most despised piece of **** in the game,and im sure most players will agree with me.Is a person (usualy someone who changes to "unnamed") who joins the game,deconstructs all of your buildings,and leaves.This leaves your team fairly boned,and has ruined many a game.If i see ANY of you doing this i will personaly rip out your heart.

Also,most noobs complain that they have terrible aim in this game,but not other shooters.This is because lag plays a factor in your shooting,and there is a delay in the shooting.To solve this,simply aim ahead of the enemy-Where they will be.This also goes for aliens.
Aliens feeling that they are severely underpowered are forgetting one thing;Head shots count.If you cant kill the human than hide on the ceiling in a shadow,pounce down onto their head,and munch down.I've killed more unarmored humans as a Dretch (lowest level alien) than any other form.
One more tip for aliens is to be smart about attacking.If you are a Dretch then they can kill you fairly easily,so try dodging (omg dodging no way :eek: ).As you go after the enemy,strafe to the sides,and only make the killing lunge for their face once they are cornered or cannot otherwise dodge it.If they do dodge your lunge,there is a good chance that you will be killed.

Thank the lord! YES! i tryed playing this game before....started downloading, in last 20mins i keep my eyes on the download, started to get happy at the last 2mins...installed...click play and BOOM!! it said i need Quake 3 to plaY...you could imagine the anger..but now its stand-alone YAY!!!!!!!!

If you see me in game feel free to ask for help or ask me to kill a couple humans.I always play aliens because most of the noobs go to humans (not sure why).The only problem is that the aliens get all the build nazis...

It's room based,but faster than CS.

Watered down natural selection with tons of people ruining the game for you. You build things and other people can instantly deconstruct them for no reason, no servers had admins on them so I uninstalled and went on.

The bigger servers often have admins.Those people who decon are booted.It's not a copy of NS,it was started before NS was.The game is fun,and i dont care what you say.
