a flaw of them both is they use gameguar, the most useless antihack system EVER hackers can just delete the gameguard file and hack away.

Yeah. It's not about hacking. Everyone can do it after some time. To play legit though, that actually takes work.

I personally like the way DG is set up - how enemys actually "ATTACK" instead of being run into and getting hurt.
And you gotta love the skills you get for all classes right at the beginning.
AND the community is awesome, just walk by randoms and end up partyin for a few hours.... too bad I havn't been able to come on for long :(

Except if you delete the GG folder it doesn't work.

If you really want my opinion, the only thing I really see maple having over GG is the combat system. Its instant instead of having that 1 or so second delay before the next attack starts. But Maple also fails in the length of time it takes to get real skills that are nice and flashy, the drop rates, as well as skills that are actually useful at all really. Maple also isn't graphically as nice to me, because Dragon Gem has very fluid animations while maple has choppy animations, but the art in maple is clearly better, I'd rather have fluid animations with so-so art instead of decent art with pretty bad animations.

i believe gameguads just extra security, and yeah hackers do get through, like in gunbound and maple, but its also the staffs team to ban hackers, and id choose DG over Maple any day, im juts glad you didnt say DG was a copy of maple, ive heard that millions of times :mad:

Dragon Gem is basically Maplestory with more quests. The movement of your charcter is also better, it's much smoother and quicker then maplestory. Dragon Gem's only downside is it's combat system. It's combat is WAY slower then maplestory in my opinion.

In my opinion, however, Dragon Gem is better then Maplestory. I'm making this decision based purely on the fact that there's such a grind on maplestory after level 35+, along with the fact that half of maplestory's skills don't do much at all.

i agree, though there is also grind in DG, not as much as maple, but there sure is, for me it started at level 20, but hey thats just me
