Oh god, potential flame war lol. Well, for someone just starting, be a warrior. They are the easiest to start out as when you are first joining Maple Story. You should have dex 2x your level and the rest into strength. When you do the stat roll at the beginning try to get a 4 or 5 in int and luk, they are useless to a warrior. When your level 10 leave Maple Island and go to the Perion. Go to the top of the town and talk to Dances With Balrog and he will make you a warrior.
