I have been reading these forums for a while now, and happen upon this alot, a whole lot of miscommunication. I notice that many non mmo and regular fps titles get threads in this forum, and every so often reading a forum and finding some person disappointed that the game is room based and not an mmo at all.

I would like to propose that the admin create a new forum under the title of "Multiplayer FPS/ games" that way we can ensure that every thread in this section is involved with mmofps or etc mmo and all regualr FPS or related threads get organized into their own organized thread.

I mean, a majority of the topics in this thread are no way related to mmos, with small exceptions to stat saveing, but that's it. The "m" stands for massive meaning over 1000 players, games like Tremulous and Counter strike could never reach such numbers on one server.

I'll put it to a vote. Do you think it's a goog idea or not?

I think it's a sensational idea. Pretty much all of your points are correct. Most things on the MMOFPS\MMO section have little or nothing to do with MMOFPS's or MMO's. I'm right behind ya, standing in line. =D

Sadly i vote no.Although the posts do not stay on-topic,i dont think we need a new section.In stead i think that the "keep it in the right section" rule should be more harshly enforced.

Warrock has it's own forum, what other game truely deserve it? You could put everything in one thread.

this forum is for mmofps and misc. MMOs.

They need to make it the MMO/FPS section, not mmofps section, because there are barely any "mmofps'"

True there are very few MMOFPS... If you are asking them to split they might just take MMOFPS and put FPS lol >.<

I think changing the name would be the best idea because well as stated earlier people wouldnt watch where they post and I think there are only 2 mmofps out at the moment with a third coming out next year. Those three would be Planetside, Face of Mankind, and the one thats coming out would be Hellgate:London.(which btw wont be free. I think it will be b2p.)

Thats a good idea but the question is, will people use it? After all a good example of this would be the warrock threads that popped up here when people were crazed about warrock. Warrock has its own thread but everyone came here to post they're wants and questions about Warrock.

The only problem with that is there would still be hundreds of people posting in the wrong section. If you try to discriminate between free mmofps and free fps then there will be a lot more problems then even with people posting requests in the free mmorpg section. Kinda neat idea though but it will probably just make things worse.

The polls have reached a stalemate. I figured they wouldnt be too different or even because of the fact that some people will either confuse the new and old forums or be too lazy to or unwilling to go to the new.
