So as the title says, this is a guide for thieves made by me, Duo! So here we go.

~What makes a thief good?~
In this game there are 2 melee classes, the thief and the warrior. I personally have tested both classes out and found the following advantages and disadvantages of each class (advantages will have a “+” next to them, while disadvantages will have a “-“ next to them).

--Thief
+ Double wield daggers is the main “up” for thieves. Having 2 daggers will greatly increase your damage, and if they have special stats (critical strike, deadly strike, life, magic) your stat ups will be absolutely amazing. 2 critical strike daggers can result in 50+ accuracy (which is EVEN BETTER than a 3rd grade jewel of accuracy).
+ Daggers and punch arms are the fastest melee weapons.
+ Thief skills have little delay time, about 2-3 seconds.
+ Thief skills execute faster than warrior skills.
- Thieves have less HP and MP than even wizards.
- Thief skills are quite MP consuming, especially the elite skills.
- In order to be strong, thieves need 2 daggers. Finding them is a pain, and buying is expensive.

--Warrior
+ Weapons have better range than that of the thief.
+ Warriors have massive HP and defense. Their Lv10 set has equal defense to the thief Lv15 set, if not more. And from then on the defense of the warrior sets completely out powers thief armor.
+ Skills use less MP than thieves.
- Despite good range, the weapons are a bit slower. (seen as only a minor disadvantage).
- Very low MP, having skills use less MP is a necessity for warriors.
- No double wield means less extra stats for warrior.
- Skills have a massive 5 second delay time.

This is my personal analysis of these two classes. Another thing that I noted is that a thief is more fast paced than a warrior, which is more entertaining in my opinion.

~Thief skills, which to use, which to skip~
A common question is “What skills should I buy? And what level should I get them to?” Here is a list of skills that I used and the levels that I got them to.
--Level 10 skills
Swift Jr.—Lv 4
Fast Slash—Lv 5 (max)
Swallow Jr.—Lv 5 (max)
Surprise Attack Jr.—Lv 3

I did not obtain Jab Junior or the dodge buff.

--Level 15 skills
Did not use any of them.

--Level 25 skills
I maxed out Fatal Blow as soon as I could. It’s a mob skill that will prove extremely useful for you. I personally find it more important than fart.

--Level 35 skills
I replaced all of my Jr. skills with the elite version. I also plan on maxing them out- you won’t be getting any more skills past elite class.

Now you might be wondering “why the hell did you get 3 single monster skills?”
Good question. The answer to that is this. If one of the skills misses, you will have another skill to back you up. And if somehow that second skill misses, you even have a 3rd to save your tushie. I have even had times when all 3 of my skills have missed- the more the merrier. Also about the skill levels. Only max out ONE single monster skill. I would’ve put my surprise attack jr. to Lv4 but by the time I wanted to I was lv 34, and it would be a waste of money. Always start by using your strongest skill, then go to your next strongest, then your next strongest. As you can notice, I have Lv5 fast slash Lv4 swift jr. and Lv3 surprise attack jr. I always kick things off with a fast slash, then the swift, then the surprise attack. Maxing out all of them is a huge waste of money. Even though it is true that Lv1 skills use as much MP as the Lv5 version (at least that’s what I’ve seen), there is no point in wasting about 20k to max out all the nublet skills. And you may also wonder why I didn’t use buffs. I personally find the 90 MP and 2 minute duration time a big waste. Also I find that the buffs do not change my overall performance by enough to be worthy of wasting 90 MP. Here are the prices for the skills and their levels
--Level 10, 15, and 25 skills
Lv1- 5k
Lv2- 6k
Lv3- 7k
Lv4- 8k
Lv5(max)- 9k

Thus maxing a skill would cost 35k.

--Level 35 skills (BRACE YOURSELF!!)
Lv1- 150k
Lv2- 151k
Lv3- 152k
Lv4- 153k
Lv5(I believe this is still the max level)- 154k

Thus it takes 760k to max out an elite skill. Though the prices are stunningly huge, it is totally worth it. A level 1 elite skill is probably the same as a lv 10 junior skill (if they could get that high). If you are concerned about money, keep reading and you will see my FAQ question dealing with income.

~Weapons and armor that have special stats, AKA “Blue weapons” and “Blue armor”~
When it comes to armor, it is always best to get the piece as blue. Here are the special abilities of each piece of armor. They can ONLY be one special stat.
Hat- Extra dodge
Armor- Extra HP
Pants- Extra HP
Gloves- Extra MP
Shoes- Extra MP
Higher level armors provide bigger stat bonuses. It is always good to try and obtain the entire armor set as blue. You don’t need to stress over it until the mid-upper 20s, but if you can find even 1 blue piece of armor, it’s better than nothing.

Now about weapons. Weapons can have 4 different special abilities. They are Critical strike (extra accuracy), Deadly strike (extra critical), Life (extra HP), and Magic (extra MP). For thieves the preferred special ability is extra accuracy. Life and Magic can be added on by your armor, so don’t have your weapons be your HP/MP source. Having extra accuracy means that your skills will rarely miss. Extra critical hit is OK, but once again, if you keep missing then the extra critical is useless. Just like armor, the stat bonuses go up with higher level weapons.

The higher level you become, the easier it gets to find your armor and weapons due to longer leveling times. I personally skipped my lv11-15 armor set, but had a complete 16-20 armor set. I always managed to find 2 daggers of the proper level to use, special or not.

NOTE: EVEN IF YOU HAVE 2 CRITICAL STRIKE DAGGERS AND YOUR NEXT LEVEL DAGGERS HAVE NO SPECIAL STATS, ALWAYS, AND I MEAN ALWAYS STICK WITH THE HIGHER LEVEL WEAPONS AND ARMOR.

~Questions you might have as a beginner~
1) How do I raise my stats?
-In this game stats are raised automatically based on your class. Thieves tend to level up DEX most.

2) Where do I buy skills and how do I level them up?
-Skills are bought from your Junior and Elite instructors. In order to buy skills you first have to become the class. Level 10, 15, and 25 skills are bought from the Junior instructor, and the Level 35 skills are bought from the Elite instructor(only after job changing to the elite class).

3) Dang skills cost a lot. I don’t have enough money!!
-In this game money should not be a problem for you. In the beginning I was quite poor as well. Here’s the APPROXIMATE amount of money I had per level.
Lv1-5k
Lv2-5k
Lv3-5k
Lv4-6k
Lv5-6k
Lv6-6k
Lv7-7k
Lv8-8k
Lv9-9k
Lv10-10k
Lv11-15k
Lv12-17k
Lv13-20k
Lv14-25k
Lv15-25k
Lv16-25k
Lv17-25k
Lv18-30k
Lv19-25k
Lv20-30k
Lv21-33k
Lv22-38k
Lv23-40k
Lv24-50k
Lv25-60k
Lv26-80k
Lv27-100k
**Lv28-750k
Lv29-1.1 million
Lv30-1.6 million
Lv31-2.5 million
Lv32-3.2 million
Lv33-3.9 million
Lv34-4.1 million
Lv35-4.1 million (after spending 750k on elite skills).

I double starred Lv28 because that is the biggest money gaining level. It is also the first jump out of “poorness”.

4) I don’t like quests, but should I still do them?
-YES. Always do quests, don’t skip even one of them. The harder / more annoying the quest is, the better prize you get for accomplishing it. It makes leveling in this game crap loads easier.

5) Will I be able to find my weapons and armor?
-Yes you will. In this game, the rate of item drops is HUGE. At level 30 I had my level 31-40 armor and weapons all ready. ALL of these items have special stats, the only item that doesn’t is my Lv38 Dual pants. Even if you are unlucky enough to not find your own weapons, it’s likely that you will find enough drops to have enough money to buy your weapons and armor from other players.

6) How can I transfer items between 2 characters?
-The only way to do this is to ask a reliable friend to hold on to your items and money while you swap over to your other character. There is no other established way.

7) Is training in parties good?
-Training in parties is best for maps that contain monsters that are spread far apart. So instead of having to walk across the whole map, your teammate(s) will be on the other side killing those monsters and they will slightly increase the spawn rate in your side of the map. When it comes to mobs, take it on your own.

8.) Bosses are hard, what should I do?
-Soloing bosses is quite difficult in this game. It is most recommended to find a player who has already beaten the boss to come and help you. Here are the levels that I managed to solo each boss at.
--Monkey Bear- Lv20
--6 Dwarves- Lv26
--Rump- Lv30
--Kirke- Lv32
--Anvas- N/A
--Proust- N/A

The strategy I use for bosses is this. Dish out all of your skills on him while spamming your HP potion button. For M.B. and Dwarves I used standard 100 HP pots. For Rump and Kirke I used 10 big red potions, which heal 250 HP each. Also, use mob skills at the beginning to eliminate mobs. The truth is, if there was no mob of monsters guarding the boss, Kirke could be taken down by a Lv23 easily.

9) I finished my quests / have no quests for this level and don’t know where to train.
-Always train around the area the quests tell you to go. If you have to kill cows and oxen, then train in the riddle thorn zone. For level 24-28 that is the best spot. For level 29+ the Thief Den around Sutan City is probably the best place to be.

And that concludes my FAQ. If you have any further questions or notice anything that I didn’t put into this FAQ, please say so in your posts! I will be as prompt as I can in answering your questions. Thanks for reading, and have fun playing DragonGem everyone!!

The thing is, You never listed Warrior Weapons. Aren't they supposed to be strong too? They are warrior after all. And about your 3 Kill Monster Shots, I think you only need two. Because when you execute your first one then go onto your second, When your second is done, I'm pretty sure your first one should be done with delay. I use only two single shot kills. Power Shot for the first monster, then Multiple Shot for the second monster, so I do not have to wait. Power Shot, Multiple, Power Shot, Multiple, etc.

It is true that Warriors use less MP than thieves, but the MP is truely useless. A Warrior depends on the strength and Weapon/Defense, not on Skills entirely. Thieves are a balance of both the Weapon and Skills. While, Warrior is more lenient to the Weapons.

Warriors are also tanks, which means that they use less potions than Thieves, athough Warriors do still use potions, not as much as though.

Other than that, A Great guide! XD, If only I was a thief.

That gives me 3 levels to get 2 mill. i can do it. muhahaha!! =D

And Chronotrigga about your post. Please note that this is a guide specializing on the THIEF class not the WARRIOR class. Your comment is true, but it's not very related to thieves.
