Hiya,

I used to play this game infantry a couple years ago, but lost track of it. It's a 2D multiplayer game played from an overhead view. It's not the greatest in graphics compared to what's out right now, but it has a pretty huge depth of gameplay with multiple classes, buildable/driveable vehicles, RPG elements in upgrades gained by experience, and so on.

Some kind independent soul has picked it up and hosting a server (much like what happened to Virgin's subspace, if anyone remembers that game). You can check it out here: <link edited out since it's apparently violating Sony>. The download is pretty small overall, since it's such an old prog.

I recommend checking it out if you're in for an oldskool thrill, it's a pretty great old game. Let people know you're new to the game when you come in and they'll help get you set up.

It's not a bad game, gets a bit boring after awhile though. Another link to check out if you're interested in this game...

[EDIT] There's actually a link to infinity-zone from the link Yojo provided, only their old URL (http://www.freeinfantry.tk/)

privte servers are a no-no. Infantry is still in service too, and you can play free for like 30 minute intervals or something.

Hi Syusuke

Didn't realize there was a pay service for infantry. I'd searched Google for Chambert's Moon (the zone I used to play) and gotten the hit I linked. Searching for 'infantry game' shows that Sony picked it up I guess. Doesn't look like they have Chambert's Moon though, kind of a shame...

I edited out the link from my old post, now that I know they were stepping on someone's p2p.
