I have some spyware virus on my other computer and i cant go on sites or anything because it keeps sending me to some virus scan page. I even used it but it only scans and doesnt delete the problems. Does anyone know any programs i can download to get rid of the virus? I have ad-aware and avg but i scanned with both of those and the virus is still there. XO

Try running the virus scans in Safe Mode, which is usually achieved by hammering the F8 button as soon as you switch on your computer and selecting it from the menu.

A few other things, also turn off system restore. Some viruses use that to restore themselves.

Well right now im using this avast program and its scanning the computer right now and it seems like its deleting the problems on the computer because it gave me he choice to do so. Do you guys know if Avast will fix the problem?

I'm using the "free Home version of avast".

no program gets rid of all viruses/spyware/ect.

ok i had a guide on how to get rid of one, but can not find it. Anyways when i do ill post, but until then do you guys think it would be a good idea to sticky a how to get rid of virus, if so ill get to work on it.

It doesn't necessarily have to be manually. :P There's ways you can do it WITHOUT ****ing your computer up yourself. XD

Offtopic: I had a Trojan do that to me once. It was spreading through all of my files, so I started chasing it. :P It finally got there and started to jump FASTER than normal. Freakin' annoying Trojans. -_-

lol,yea..........first stop doing that and download the zonealarm free trial it gets rid of viruses/spyware and much more and if u still can't get rid of virus then u have to do system restore or reinstall windows
