Yes they do need to try harder, there are probaly a lot of hackers in the unpopulated parts of Maplestory and they aren't being punished.

yes they should try harder i think there should be more of them and more of them on at once so they could ban more people that break the rules e.g. avertise websites and hacking.

Hackers are rare at the moment though because of the gameguard update. THey're having trouble beating it thankfully.

IVe actually been finding a few warriors vac hacking the iron pigs in pig park on my runs to mushmom on windia, next time ill take soem screenshots
Haha, no they're not. Only stupid people think gameguard is doing more good for legit people than hackers. I bet most of you don't even know half of what gameguard does. In order to 'prevent macro programs' it screws up your system (by hooking vital functions essential to run normal legitimate programs such as antivirii programs) & doesn't allow you to access certain parts of your own damn computer. In order to prevent 'speeder programs' gameguard messes with your memory and eats up a ton of it. Ever wonder why your cpu usage spikes up to 90/100% while playing Maplestory?
Gameguard is malware, it even has used trojan code for a rootkit/driver it uses to hide maplestory.exe & gamemon.des from you!
And the worst part is? Even when you uninstall gameguard, it's still on your computer. The gameguard service is loaded every time you start windows and the registry keys are still there. Believe me there is so much more to gameguard than what I just posted!
Conclusion: Gameguard is Client sided protection, most of what gameguard does (though it does communicate with its server and it saps up your bandwidth by sending spy files of what you were running on your computer to its FTP server) is on your computer, so if you're smart enough you can stop it. The real people who are in trouble are the oblivious non computer-savvy 'legit' people.

Yes, thats why Prevx is used to own it.
OK mr sarcastic, do you even know what it does and why people used that program to get their cheating programs past GG? Didn't think so. Gameguard violates your privacy in every way possible, Gameguard has BLACKLISTED security programs and even changes the settings of them for you, such as Processguard. PrevX is a security tool and it prevented gameguard from accessing a certain part of your physical memory, it did not 'own' gameguard, it just did enough to get cheats through and that's really not enough.

Just because GM's don't answer all your reports instantly doesn't mean that they're not doing a sufficiant job.
You should just look at Bera, all their GM's are doing an excelent job.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gameguard is an application bundled with multiplayer games which hides the game application process, monitors the entire memory range, terminates applications defined by the game vendor and INCA to be cheats, blocks certain calls to DirectX functions, and auto-updates itself.
The application installs itself as part of the operating system so that it can do its work. What makes it problematic is the fact that uninstalling the game that it came with does not uninstall it. Furthermore, even when the game is not running, Gameguard still sits in the background. Even clicking the 'uninstall' button in device manager does not get rid of it -- a user must manually delete both it, and the registry keys that refer to it.
This program leaves a computer running Windows 2000 or XP exposed to the vulnerability of unprivileged arbitrary read/write access.

Yes, the hackers are bypassing the security and now Wizet needs to do something about it.

Did you not understand me? You said it was a trojan or whatever and I said yes thats why Prevx is used to bypass it. What am I saying wrong?

i dont get why people keep saying hackers are noobs, there just people that use hacks, that doesent mean there a noob. Even though using hacks in a game is making it unfair for other players, that doesnt fit as one of the official definitions of the word 'newbie'

Actually, most of the hackers are a lot smarter than the actual players. Being able to script like that is quite impressive. Sadly, you mostly see idiots who just downloaded bots in game. I've met quite a few intelligent hackers in games like MapleStory.
