Serious now when this came out they had a like 100-200 games somewhere about there. It costed 20$ and there was no free trial. So I was like na I don't think I'd pay for this thought it seems like a good idea. So I kinda brushed it off at that point and forgot about it for about a year cause you really didn't see alot of commericals for it. Well about two weeks ago I started to see it pretty much everywhere I looked and had some extra money so I shurgged and went why not. So I went and and started to sign up found out it went from 20$ a month to 10$ a month and a two week free trial. I go cool, before I could get into the part to slap my CC info in there I got a popup for a free one week trial with no CC needed. Draw back? 3 of gametap fav games and 4 you pick. That was a hard 4 game pick seeing they had over 500 games to pick from. I played mabye 3 days of this free one week trial, before I signed up for the real thing.

They are currently up to 620 games and adding more on sept 24 for a event thats coming up where you can win a prize package (no idea really .. didn't say what in my email from them)

Also more than one person can play off one account, but only two people aloud online at once. (As my tech buddy from there said.. Hafta earn money some how =p) This is done by making a sub account and giving it to whoever. I myself gave one to my friend..

So after my ramble does this want to make you atleast game tap? Cause come on they got a fair amount of good games. Adding more as soon as R&D works out all the kinks on the new games. Two people can play on one account for only 10$ .. Hell plus you get a two week free trial (CC needed, but you can cancel before they charge =p) I'm still on my two week trial ^_^ Ok ok I'll shut up now ^_^

Nice idea, but I think you want the Shameless Promotion section. I myself tried to sign up for Gametap once...wasn't too interested in it and I don't have the money...so, as the title says, I don't give a ****. XD

why pay to play roms on a website when you can download them for free and dont have to pay a monthly fee to play.

Because that's slightly illegal...Gametap prolly has the authorization to use those games, you don't!

Good point, but I had all of mine deleted at one time. Apparently, there's an organization in California that has special rights to enter your computer and delete any files it finds "unneccesary". They deleted all my roms and my emus. I don't know much about them, I just found out where they are and why the hell they were snooping on my computer. >.<

Actually, unless they have an actual Warrant, they can't do ANYTHING in your computer, which is quite strictly against the law. AND, they have to present the warrant to you, or your parents prior to the computer investigation. Furthermore, the only reason they'd have to inspect your computer... or ANY computer in your home for that matter, is because you have an overactive input of ... things like porn etc, because Apparently they do things like that to scan pornographic files and mark people like this as potential pedophiles or sexual predators. (This, is true.)

I know that's true, and I don't know what they were doing. (they weren't in my computer, per se, but they were lurking around the wireless router.) I told my dad about it and he said that the only way they could have gotten permission without our approval is if they were to get permission from the company that supports our router. I don't know exactly what I'm talking about (not much of a computer nerd) but my dad said that it was possible to view the cache of dowloaded items on your computer via the router. So...I don't know.

I really find it a waste of money to pay for roms when you can download them easily for free, its not like you'll get sued... i mean no one really cares and bothers to sue, unless the FBI just wants to bust your ***, but hey, what are the odds? Heres a tip FBI, i'm in Singapore. :) That 10 bucks could pay for an MMO. :)
