If anyone cares here SS's and download of my snake game. Feel free to make better graphics if you like :)

Also any suggestions to spice up snake would be appreciated. I want to make this better than normal snake and im learning programming by doing so. The game is fully playable. Im going to keep adding new features in and next will be different levels with higher speeds and so on. Below is a new screenshot where I made the mainscreen nicer. I also got the high score working now. It only saves if you have got the high score and then shows it.

FEATURES:
High score - see if you can obtain the high score.
Levels - everytime you level it increases your points but also the speed the snake moves.
Sound - Plays the theme song from music impossible and repeats it.

COMING SOON:
Special Food - Food that is either a bonus adding 10 extra points everytime you eat or get a bad food that adds 2 body parts to your snake!
Enemy snake - Might add an enemy snake that moves around the map and if you run into him your dead!

At least some people here actually start off small and go bigger, unlike most people, they just go straight to the thought, "I will make an MMORPG!".

What programming language is it made in?

Yeah you have to start small if you are serious. Plus you can make some fun small games.

Its coded in Visual Basic. Im gonna post it soon I think.

I made the game look nicer today and got high scores fully working. I also shrinked the playing area some so that it wouldnt be too easy. I am also going to make the snake and food look nicer and bigger which will also take away some of the easiness of the game.

Then im going to add levels that increase the speed and all.

Any other ideas please tell me.

I found a bug... I forgot to include the highscore file in the download. Its fixed now. Also added a new screenshot. Please tell me if you like the smaller snake or bigger better. Thanks.

New version is posted. This one now has a nicer background for the playing area. I also fixed it so you can move the snake right to the edge of the area and that the food will now not be created on the border or the snake itself.

Any bugs please report them.

Also how do I remove a color bg from a picbox... I have the food transparent aroudn it but theres a color there and I cant remove it.. I can change it but thats it... how do I make it false or something. Still havent figured out how to make it so you cant go opposite direction yet I was messing around with the ideas you guys gave but nothing that worked yet.

Coming Soon:
Levels (got it all just some reason I set Bonus = 10 and add that to the score so I can change it easy but then it dont give you points... so after I fix that they will be added in)
Bonus Food (food that gives more points or makes your snake more than 1 square larger.)

well I stopped work with it right now since I have no new ideas as of now. also my webhost is down so download is also. If anyone wants to host it that would be nice its very small like 73kb I think.

Speaking of what you said I have begun work on a MMORPG from scratch. I just started today but have been learning for a while. I dont plan to finish anytime soon just doing it to learn and some fun. So yeah... maybe post some updates on it for heck of it later.

I started a new project today which is a RPG. (could turn into ORPG sometime)

I could post updates on it if anyone cared. I already coded a basic battle system tonight.
