Free online games are meant for grinding since you need to stay on the game for so long. Cabal online can also be categorized as a non-grind game since the quests are so many that you can't even catch up. But it is P2P.
Cabal Online is currently available on Europe only.

sorry dude to say this but even P2P games are grind sooner or later evry game is grind if there werent grind games the game would be 1 to lvl100 in 1 day that wouldnt be grind but if it was no grind the lvls would be like 6million

Guildwars can feel like a grind if the story wasnt there lmao....cabal isnt too grindy the quest give u a min of 4000xp at lvl 13 and up even 12k once
tartan

if the Cabal quests are same as they were in CB then its kinda repeative. I mean like all quests are same.. speak with some npc, speak with some npc.. done. Kill certain amount of mobs.. done. Dungeon clearing quests are fun at beginning, but when you do it for like 20 lvls you start to feel frusrating. You could try some games like: Myth War, Nostale, Trickster, Turf Battle, Knight Online. Yes, like DarkSin already stated, every game has grinding sometimes, but those games I mentioned have something else besides just levelling, like you can train pet, PvP, Drill etc...

Lawls.
Gunz, the biggest dissapointment ever.
They never updated it.
And havent
And probably never will.
I would suggest you play some shooting games, they arent really grind.
It takes actual skill to play them too,
not how much time you waste your life on stupid videogames.

Speaking about Gunzonline (cause he was talking about mmorpgs only) I recommend you at least try it, its still fun without updates (it has been updates many times before).
Back to mmorpgs, many old mmorpgs (UO, RS, Dransik) doesnt require you grind that much, however the graphics arent the best. Most of the cool graphics games are also based on cool skills, and cool characters, which also mean alot of grinding.

Grinding is inevitable. Even on offline RPG's like Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest and such you tend to grind to raise your levels to easily defeat bosses.

Every game is a grind.
Take "Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy" for instance. This was one of the first games to come out with the PS2. At the start, you watch a movie, then grind to get "precursor orbs" (an integral part of the game, like currency). Then you give the orbs to some other person to get a "power cell" (you need all 101 to beat the game).
Now, take "World of Warcraft" for example. You start off getting a quest to kill some mobs. So you go off and grind killing the mobs, then you hand in that quest to get another quest to grind some more.
Every game is a grind fest'. There are no games that do not involve grinding.

there is no lvl in UO
skills increase by using it
maybe u played on a freeshard with lvl feature but this is gay

far away from grind like in martial heroes

Mabinogi (Hangul:마비노기) is an online role-playing game released by Nexon, inspired by Celtic mythology.
The Welsh word mabinogi is found in the original manuscripts of the Mabinogion.
ENJOING THE WORLD
This fantasy role-playing game pits your character against the entire world of Mabinogi, Erinn, where you can choose to pursue monsters, quests and money, just develop the abiltiy to make amazing items, or enjoy your time in front on a campfire where you can burn food.
http://ch.kitaguni.tv/u/350/Mabinogi/0000196365_img.jpeg
CHARACTER CREATION
When creating a character, one may choose an age between 10 years and 17 years-old. The character will advance one year in age every (real) Saturday. Different ages yield different initial stats and affect the amount of stats raised in a Level-Up.
http://file.mabinogi.com/data/20/1/g2_00_05.jpg
Rebirthing is one important factor of the game. One can choose to use a Character Card for rebirthing one of their characters instead of creating new one. Rebirthing allows the player to change the character's gender/age/appearance and reset the character's level back to 1 while keeping character's previously gained skills. As it gets gradually harder to gain more levels as your level becomes higher, and since all skills require a great amount of Ability Points (see below) at a higher rank, there's a limit to character improvement if you don't take advantage of rebirthing.
Performing different tasks and eating different kinds of foods changes the appearance of the characters. It may change their body shape and may also raise/lower some of their stats. Players may play music composed by other players using musical instruments.
Each (real world) day of the week grants players specific bonuses, such as getting a higher experience rate for certain skills, higher item creation success, aging, gaining AP, etc.
The game is now at the Generation 5 stage, which added a whole new breed for players to choose from, the Elves.
(Elvan character creation movie)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_hotuYVJhw
Within Mabinogi, each character can develop a large number of skills, though it is recommended that one should focus on a few particular skills at the beginning. By practicing certain skills, such as cooking, fighting or playing instruments, the experience for these skills (and also for character level) will go up.
However Ability Points (obtained when the player levels up, ages or has completed important quests) are required to take each skill up a level, and this system runs so that rank F is the most inexperienced, and increases to rank A, then from rank 9 to 1, i.e. 1 is the strongest it is possible to be in a certain field. Skill levels cannot be lowered once it's advanced, unless a Skill Untrain Capsule is used (only available to part of the subscribers).
Additionally, the AP required for gaining rank may differ between Humans and Elves in certain skills.
Some trade skills (e.g. fishing) are also mini-games.
Below is a partial list of skills in Mabinogi:

Dungeons
A separate dungeon instance is spawned for every unique type of item thrown on the platform before the statue of the goddess in the entrance hall of a dungeon. Dungeons in one region share similar interior appearance, however each dungeon spawns different kinds of enemies and the dungeons CHANGE THEIR MAP EVERYTIME YOU GET IN.

A grind game, is any game that the only way to improve your character is by repetitive actions. For instance, Killing monsters to gain experience, is grinding. Also, if you standing there swinging a pickaxe at a rock to mine (or something similar), in order to gain materials to sell, that is also grinding.
There are very very few games that offer things other than grinding. This is because these types of games are proven to be successful, I think that is exactly what will be the downfall of the MMO genre.
