I tried some before and it is nothing like the real thing, if you've never played on the official servers I suggest doing so, judging WOW based off some crappy private server is just wrong.

I'm just making it clear to those that judge WOW based off some lame private server, that is not how the real WOW is.

They're fun at LAN partys with friends though =D. We did a 4 man raid on Onyxia (set so it was a challenge though). Good times.

What levels were you, Zel? 255 or higher?

We were like, 200 or so each so it was a challenge.

private servers are fun to mess around in ive havnt been in one that was alot more fun than wows servers (ive only been in one :|) but they look fun to mess around with besides who doesnt like going to GM island ;D

and the one i played on was the most recent wow patch........ so it was pretty good if you have no money to play and although PS's are illegal in the u.s. good luck getting cought- and if you have no $$$ private servers are the next best thing

reasons why wow p servers arent fun
#1:They arent official
#2:there aren't enough people online to have fun with
#3:Bugs,glitches,childish GM's who dont have a reason of jailing you
#4:Spoil the unknown area's for the new expansion
#5:they just suck

they wont suck for long :P heard some people talking about it in the real servers saying a new emulator coming out

I don't know how old this thread is but last time i checked 4 players isn't a raid. A raid is made up of 6 or more players. And also on the normal servers there has been a 6 man raid on onyxia, they were all 60s and took her down with no deaths. Just wanted u to know this.

Erhhhhh wrong. A raid is 5 or more. You lose. And a successful 6-man raid on Ony? Sounds like bullshit to me.

private servers are rigged up...i got bored witht he real wow for about a day and tried a p sever...so what happened? well i found a lvl 254 and he lvled me like crazy...then when i got to 254..i soloed all the bosses alone..which is pretty rigged..they make there own weapons which are about +str 10000 DPS 10000-20000 and doing about 15k each hit with a 30k dmg critical and if ur lucky and get the really good GM stuff ull be doing about 100k which spoils every dam thing
