Throughout the lifepan of a human. Many confusion would trouble human's mentallity to a certain level. Some of the big questions that would appear within your mind would be. " Does God exist?" " What is the reason of my life?"
Well and many more.

So I would like to ask some of you guys to define me these words.

Happiness
Sadness
Pretty
Ugly

Also by this chance, there would also be.

What is the reaon of living?
Is dreaming really just imagination?

Thanks.

Ahh I remember the days where we would have "Whose hotter Jessica Alba or Jessica Simpson?" threads and "Who would you go gay for?" (I actually made that one). Now what's up with the "religion" threads and "what's the meaning of life" threads? I'll tell you what! I'M DAMN SICK OF IT!

What is to "like" ?
What is to "Dislike" ?

Something you find pretty might not look the same for me or another person.
Something you find ugly might not look the same for me or another person.

So what is really the definition of pretty, ugly or just quality? ( I need not the words but the meaning)

tr.v., -tied, -ty·ing, -ties.
To make pretty: pretty up the house.

idiom:
pretty much

For the most part; mostly: “The . . . matter was pretty much dying down” (John Strahinich).

[Middle English prety, clever, fine, handsome, from Old English prættig, cunning, from prætt, trick.]

adj., -li·er, -li·est.
Displeasing to the eye; unsightly.

n. Informal., pl. -lies.
One that is ugly.

[Middle English, frightful, repulsive, from Old Norse uggligr, from uggr, fear.]

uglily ug'li·ly adv.
ugliness ug'li·ness n.
SYNONYMS ugly, hideous, ill-favored, unsightly. These adjectives mean offensive to the sense of sight: ugly furniture; a hideous scar; an ill-favored countenance; an unsightly billboard.

REGIONAL NOTE The standard sense of the adjective ugly becomes figurative in the common expression an ugly temper. Regional American speech shares this figurative sense and makes it even more specific. In New England ugly as applied to animals, especially large farm animals such as cows and horses, means “balky, hard to manage.” In the South, on the other hand, ugly with the specific sense of “rude” is used of persons: Don't be ugly, son. Interestingly, the word clever (senses 4 through 6) follows the same regional pattern as ugly: in New England the specialized senses refer to animals; in the South, to persons.

like1 (līk)

v., liked, lik·ing, likes.

v.tr.
To find pleasant or attractive; enjoy.
To want to have: would like some coffee.
To feel about; regard: How do you like her nerve!

v.intr.

Scots. To be pleased.
n.
Something that is liked; a preference: made a list of his likes and dislikes.

[Middle English liken, from Old English līcian, to please.]

dis·like (dĭs-līk')
tr.v., -liked, -lik·ing, -likes.
To regard with distaste or aversion.

n.
An attitude or a feeling of distaste or aversion

Nothing gets more official then the dictionary. = ]

It's best to describe yourself without words.

The defination of ugly and pretty is something that YOU find ugly or pretty. There is no universal defination of those words because there is no universal example, simply because it's an opinion.

It's actually something so easy to see and to percept but so hard to anwser. At the least, not some1 with such a high emo-ability.
