I heard of DoTA but I never knew what it was.

DotA is Defense of the Ancients, an overly popular mod for Warcraft 3.

I honestly don't see what is so great about that game, too many kids play it.

Dota is not a mod of warcraft 3. It is a custom map for warcraft 3. Overall its really fun when you are playing it with friends. Theres even hacks made just for dota lol.

DOTA is fun ...only if you can own everyone else in the game >_> . It takes a while to get good but it gets addictive later on.

every time i play dota i get some random people saying 2 me like stop stunning the mobs or something or like LEECHER LA and the game is sad.no offence 2 doota players. to many leet uber geeks playing dota

I'm pretty sure the parameters in Defense of the Ancients are set outside of the official mapmaker.

They had help with 3rd party map making programs that gives them access to certain settings the original engine wouldn't allow them to modify.

I saw that vid once too, it was awesome. Now i understand what they are singing! :D

Well it is still a custom map then. A mod will be like 3D Starcraft which is a mod for Warcraft 3. Quite a lot of difference.

DotA is only good if you play with the pros. Or at least those who are of a good sport. Though losers and leavers are the biggest problem yet.
