Disclaimer: I am in no way accusing you of hacking, I am making an observation, take it as you will.

I find it very strange that you block out your name and your skill/item pallete (the thing on the bottom right). I can understand blocking out your name, nobody wants random people adding them, but the pallete? Your name would be for catching you hacking, and the pallete would be for us seeing the amount of healing pots you have as compared to blue pots.

well i block out my name cuz of hackers that would want to hack me or random people asking me questions. I block out the others cuz i really don't know why... but.. what does pots have to do with hacking? i always train with a cleric so i use white pots and mana elixers and also elixers if i need them. Alot of people block out their names not cuz of being tracked but being annoyed.... Tiger wouldn't want people spamming him with questions " Can i have Mesos " " Will You marry me? " so he either blocks it or doesn't reply. I like to block stuff to keep people guessing like in your case guessing if I'm hacking or not.

EDIT: But then again, 95% of the other warriors have -rankings, and a few pages below him, most of the warriors have +20 to +40 ranks (normal people) except for some that are like +600(hackers).

If he gave his archers ign why not his dk too? He could hack on his dk and transfer the money and stuff to his archer account which is legit. Its easy to call people hackers but if you dont have any actual proof of it is merely pointless. She gained 820+ ranks, maybe he played all day? Who knows.

As I said in previous posts, it's the fact that he blocked out his pallete that made me suspicious, not the fact that he blocked out his name, go read.

Now, the reason I did not give my DKs IGN out is because I share that account. I trained him to level 50, and then shared with a close friend, together, we got to 106. She is still playing that char, I don't want people she doesn't know whispering her. Stai, is not shared, which is why I gave out the IGN.

I don't see what Kevinboyz equipment has anything to do with him hacking. You don't know the stats on his items. He may have a 20 DEX robe, 9 DEX shoe, 5 accuracy helm, and a 10 STR 97 attack spear. And also, he may not even have pots on his hot key slots. A lot of people don't. I remember when I used to train my bandit I would block out his IGN and just random parts of the screen. Like quick slots, chat box, minimap, the guy standing next to me, ect.

A lot of people are paranoid of being hacked, as well. A friend of mine wouldn't visit YouTube for almost a month because a self-proclaimed 'hacker' told him he put a keylogger on the website.

First of all, thank you pun, for being one of the only members fighting agaisnt me who has come up with plenty of valid points. Again, thank you, I greatly respect you, no matter how much we disagree.

Okay, now to the point. Okay, here's how I picked up the word "meru". Over the summer, I met a Japanease friend who had just moved to that block, she played jMS, and was extremely nice to me. When I told her I palyed gMS, she offered and gave me one of her empty mule accounts, and we played together a bit. After a while, I picked up many Japanese terms, and then I started to get facinated with the language, and asked her to teach it to me. She did, we worked on it everyday at her house, and now I know quite a bit of the language (wouldn't say I'm fluent, however).

Now, for the shared DK, Pun, you understand that my friend wants it confidential, and I would be more than glad to send someone I respect so much, his IGN. If you ask for it, I will glady PM it to you. xHell has already seen the character, he was one of my greatest friends on Scania.

Now, Pun, tell me, how would you ever belive that by just seeing one's name, you can get hacked. That would mean that everyone who saw him in-game as well, in his eyes, could hack him. Doesn't that sound like the silliest thing? I think it does, and IMO, it's complete bullshit. And yes Pun, thoughout my entire post I was using sarcasm, I found it fun to write, and I don't understand why you're dwelling on the equipment.

Pun, I've said this multiple times, the blocking out of the name or the pallete, did not make me think he was a hacker, it made me a little tiny bit suspicious, and I simply requested reasoning. But, it was his responce that made me 99% positive that he was a hacker.

Hey you guys stop talking about me! I want more! But seriously though, I know some of you hate hacking with a passion, but thats okay! ^_^ I can't believe people are flamming against each other simply because a couple folks out there hacks.

Lets face the fact, we play games for one main goal. Either to have fun, play with friends, to become well known, or to be one of those antigonist and protagonist people. For me, I play for fun, and if hacking or whatever I must do to have fun, I will do it. But some of you will hate me because I "ruined" the fun for the legit players, I understand, I hate hackers in WoW and FFXI too. But that did not stop me from playing.

Maple story is a "fantasy" game, you take role as one of the jobs and battle mobs and stuff, just like any game out there. Lets all agree on this, all games have hackers, all games NEED hackers or else it wouldn't be a game. Haha, face it, when is the last time there is a game out there without a hacker?

Lets continue with this "fantasy" thing, some of you play acting as the "good" guy in the story, for me, I like to play the "bad" guy. Think of it like the ying-yang sign, you must have both side to balance the world, or equation.

Anyway, Mr.Pyrus over there came in the game threating me of ban-ga from Onrpg for hacking in maple story.
1) I don't post hacks.
2) I barely post at all now.
3) The rules never said I will be ban for hacking in MS.
4) I'm not the one who bought up this hacking thread or w/e.
5) I don't flame

No, it didn't, because even though it is the GMs job to ban hackers, they don't often. Hackers cause inflation, which raises the prices ridiculously high for legit players. **** hackers, I don't want to pay 4.6 mil for a 60% overall DEX, when without hackers I could be paying 2.2 mil.

I don't support hackers, but I don't really have anything against them. It's just thier playing style. On the positive side, hackers get tired of a game quicker then legit players, so they just move on before we do.

Of course, you get the occasional idiot who wants to start drama by trying to pass himself off as an 'elite hacker,' but these people can be ignored if you don't talk to them or associate with them. That may be hard to do at times, but just acting like you don't care will make them move on to someone else who does care.

I wouldn't say that hackers are bad guys either. There's tons of legit players that act like 'bad' guys and are much worst than any hacker I've ever met.


edit: I think Art's post about him being at Jakum was just a test to see what everyone's reaction to it would be. I'd imagine the replies he was expecting were the ones he got.

I actually opposed osiris, stuck up for Gundel when the time came, and I've helped this forum out quite a bit with my knowledge. Zaf, is pull shit out of her/his *** IMO, I see no reason to respond to any of her bullshit. Zaf, look at Pun's post, then look at yours, there's a huge difference. He admitted that he hacks regardless of the fact that he negatively affects the economy, and Zakumers (they cannot get in if a hacker is zakuming). Now, both of these things are inconsiderate, and selfish, I'm not judging a book by its cover.

It's true that some hackers are nice. I've met a few hackers who were really nice to me. I entered a map where they vacced all the monster, and they were like "Oh, I'm sorry for that." and then they fame me, and Change Channels. However, there are a lot of hackers who are jack***'s. Like Pun said, some of them act as if they are really cool becuase they can do a thing called "google Search".

In my opinion, I just think that Hackers aren't the best people. I mean, I wouldn't really care if someone was a hacker, but when they brag about it, that's what gets to me. It won't really matter that Art is a hacker, just as long as he stops posting things like "OMG, LOOK AT MY MONEY" (not saying you will =]). It's just annoying, and sometimes frustrating to high lvls, or other people when they see hackers disturb the maps that they train on.

So, I'm saying that hackers aren't a big deal. There are hackers in every game. We just need to learn to deal with it...

It does sound silly. Very silly, infact, but it still doesn't mean that someone can't have complete and uncontrollable paranoia. There could be enough information in Kevinboyz profile to reveal his account information and he may be trying to protect it.

Oh wait, I just found more reasons of why you might hack. Your helmet, your suana robe. Hackers often delay the equips they get because they don't need the extra boosts of armor/damage.


Pun, I've said this multiple times, the blocking out of the name or the pallete, did not make me think he was a hacker, it made me a little tiny bit suspicious, and I simply requested reasoning. But, it was his responce that made me 99% positive that he was a hacker.

I find the type of pots he uses seems a bit suspicious for his level. Even his reasoning that he always trains with a Cleric seems a little off, but at the same time I can believe it. Assuming that he trains at zombies at, it's not hard at all to pick up a Cleric while looking for a map to train. I'm sure a lot of Clerics that are 5x-6x would love to with a Spearman since they can usually kill at a much faster rate than a Cleric. Sacrificing a bit of experience per kill for heals is an investment that most Spearmen wouldn't think twice about before accepting a Cleric into their party.

I'm more of a 'see it to believe it' guy. I'd have to see proof of Kevinboyz hacking for me to agree. I know that may kind of contradict my second sentence in this post, but like I said in my other post, you have a unique ability to mold your words into complete understanding.

Oh, so you think vac hackers don't affect anyone? Think again. Kevin was vacing at Wraiths, one of the best places for Clerics and Bandits to train, but, they cannot now, because every single Wraith channel has a hacker in it.

And as far as me MAKING him leave, that's completely false. He chose to leave, you know why, because he didn't want us to find out that he was a hacker. Many hackers dream of hacking to a certain level, and then stopping, become viewed as a legit, and be respected. Art is still here, and at least he's open about being a hacker, instead of leaving a part of his life behind simply because he might be caught. Once again, I did not make him leave, he chose to.

Yeah, but he SAID he left just before you posted his IGN, so it's possible that he had no idea we could catch him. Then again, it's possible that he did not leave.

You know who the worst hackers are? Just recently we've been able to use credit cards to purchase NX Cash on JMS after a year of them being banned. Now 12 year olds have gotten their hands on a credit card generator and are abusing it. Charging more than 100kp a day (which is $1,000), it's only a matter of time before Nexon gives us foriegners the ban hammer for a second time.

Nothing hurts a community more than taking away one of the most important and vital things needed to play JMS. Our ability to legitly charge points.

At first, that's what I thought. Later in the topic, Pyrus caught him red handed.

Once again, I got nothing against hackers. Their playing style is different than other people and I've learned to adjust to that. Sure there's always going to be people that will attempt to ruin the game for us, but whatever doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.

This is an example of an ignorant post. Sorry, I just had to call attention to this. First, you think nothing of them being hackers by saying "Whoop-Dee-Doo", then you proceed to saying that they should be banned? Can someone say contradiction?

Another thing, you can't be banned just because you hack a game. Even if you openly admit to hacking, you still can't be banned. You can ONLY be banned if you post hacks. The hack free community rule only means that you cannot support hacks, it doesn't mean you can't use them!

Sorry for not posting in a while, I have more... important things to do. Anyways, there's the matter of you commenting on my ever so common "whoop-de-doo" statement. Why is it that you select me instead of the other people that believe that catching two hackers is unimportant? All I was saying is that we know what we need to know, so lets take action.

I do think that you're right about the whole ban thing, but it just seems wrong to me. If you want some real contradiction, allowing hackers in an anti-hacking forum is a nice example.
