I get that error when trying to launch GB. It says, connecting to server, please wait. Then it fails and says Unable to retrieve required game information.

I don't use a firewall. I'm using my school's internet. Every other game I play connects just fine (Gunz: Online, Hero, Counterstrike, Starcraft, Guildwars, Battlefield 1942). I've downloaded the game itself and installed it. I use internet explorer. I have all the active X stuff set to automatically enable for that site.

My questions are:

1. How might I be able to get this to work?

2. Is it possible to bypass the browser launching altogether?

3. Can I, instead, play Gunbound WC, which worked just fine, using another account?

1. Try reinstalling the GB:Revolution client.
2. Nope, thats how the run the servers, hence all the server lag.
3. It'd probally be complicated and be stuck with peoiple who don't speak English, since North America is really where it is popular to where everyone speaks it, with of course the exception of some European countries like England, and Scotland.

Most schools have no gameguard access. The gameguard info page states that public schools biding by the rules are blocked from gameguard.
