Start menu >> Settings >> Control Panel >> Performance and Maintenance >> System >> Hardware >> Device Manager >> (+) Display Adapters.


Then it should say it as a drop down.

since his computer is 3 years old, he probly has an AGP slot, now, there's barely any AGP cards left, since of the new PCI's, BUT, that also calls for a HUGE drop on prices, nvidia NX6600 256mb for about 130$? and this is canadian price, you can get even cheaper, so, you should not have to spend to much for it
