Could you reccomend another laptop within the same price range that would suite my needs better?

ummm... little suggestion, use a computer that won't fit in a suitcase... no offence but within your pricerange there isnt a laptop that will play wow in anyway except lag... infact i don't believe any laptop has the HARDWARE for it, try getting one of the lower end alienware computers and get a decent gforce or radeon graphics card. hate to tell ya but all your going to get out of a laptop is gunbound if your lucky... even that i doubt:(

@Insanity - Delivers up to 3.5 hours of battery life*

I'm not a big fan of laptops because of their short battery life, up to 3.5 hours does not mean you'll get 3.5 every time, depending on whats going on with your laptop its very likely it will last only about 2-3 hours.

It comes down to this, it is very rare for someone to get enough time to sit with a laptop and play much of any game. Unless you purposefully made time just to use it. And when your on the go, your better off with a DS or a PSP for your gaming needs.

A desktop is just overall better in every aspect. And still can be easily transported for use over at a friends house, or other such places. Laptops are not for gaming. There are decent ones out there... but they have alot of problems, including how its much harder to upgrade a laptop, and generally they have shorter lifespans.

I play WoW on a laptop with very little lag, even in the bigger cities. This laptop is 2 years old. The only thing that I have had to upgrade is the RAM. The parts are more expensive, yes. You can usually get step-by-step instructions on anything you would want to replace in a laptop (short of replacing the MB) from the manufacturer's website.

And just for informational purposes, Dell bought out Alienware.
