Hi all, I wouldn't say I am the fastest leveller in maple but after playing this game for some time, I wanna share some of the ways I did to level faster. Hope it is useful.
Tip #1:
Less talk, more action. Spending more time chatting with buddies means less time gaining experience and levelling. But this makes the game boring. VERY. What I normally do is training while chatting with my buddies. Somehow it made the whole levelling thing seem fast.
Tip #2:
I think basically everyone knows about this one-Train at those mobs where you can one, or at most two hit KO. BUT you can also do it the opposite way - train at mobs which level is higher than you, most probably needing 3 to 4 hits to kill, with a good experience. If you are doing this, you will need to do it together with tip #3.
Tip #3:
Spam potions. You don't worry about getting hit. Once hp/mp gets low, you consume potions. No resting halfway to regain hp and mana. (You might get a hole in your pocket. But you want something, you gotta sacrifice another one.)
Tip #4:
Buy a pet to loot the money and items for you. That can save you some seconds than if you were to do the picking up yourself, especially when the game is lagging. If you don't have a pet, do not pick up leftover by mobs and mesos everytime one mob is dead. Instead, you kill, you rush for the next target, and only picks up the etc drops and mesos after they accumulated to a certain amount. My suggestion would be to pick them up once you ran through the whole map in a cycle two or three times. (but of course pick up the equipment drops once they drop DUH.)
Tip #5:
It's not just about killing the right mobs. Finding a right map matters as well. Find a map that you feel comfortable with, where you don't keep falling off from the platforms, or keep wasting time trying to jump onto platforms but the mobs keep pushing you down. Find a map with more flat grounds and less obstacles. It is encouraged that you go explore around the different maps, compare and see which one you think you can kill efficiently.
Tip #6:
Get a party! Some, in fact most maplers don't like this idea as they have the impression that party leveling is slower than solo-ing. It's true, but only when you get an unbalanced party. So what you're gonna do here, is to find a party of 3 or 4 people balanced in level and job, AND a suitable map (not too small that you all ks one another =.=. big enough for each of you to occupy one or two platforms, and with high spawn rate.) One very good example would be at Evil Eyes Cave. The spawn rate is really high there. Another good one would be Garden of Green/Yellow/Red.
Tip #7:
Set a target or have a rival! For example, I must reach xx% in xx hours. If you never reach your target in the end, it's still ok because the main purpose is for you to have the motivation to go fast. Another way is to have a buddy who is higher level than you as a rival. You try to overpass him as fast as you can.
Tip #8:
Buy 2x experience card. >.< Combined with partying with a priest with maxed holy symbol, you get 2.5x the normal experience.
Tip #9
Prepare enough mesos in case of all kinds of emergency. Of course it’s a waste of your golden time to farm mesos in game. But it’s necessary to level up faster with enough money. Sometimes,I buy mesos or power leveling from some websites like Gogoer or cheapmesos. It helps a lot.
