okay you all heard that humans only use 15% mind power, imagine if we could use 100% percent,i mean we could actually use our mind to move common objects, have heightened sences, even sence of speed,we could probably see slow motion.

what do you guys think about this? O_o

Its a myth that we only use 10-15%. It is not true.http://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/tenper.html

Um, we don't only use %15 of "mind power". A lot of what happens in the mind in unconscious and automatic to keep the body functioning, like breathing and keeping the heart going.

We "use" our entire mind, but a relatively small amount of that is conscious thought. If you "used" 100% of your mind to do something, well, you would be blind, deaf, mute, paralyzed, have a heart failure, and suffocate.

The 10% statement may have been started with a misquote of Albert Einstein or the misinterpretation of the work of Pierre Flourens in the 1800s. It may have been William James who wrote in 1908: "We are making use of only a small part of our possible mental and physical resources" (from The Energies of Men, p. 12).

Damn you William James!

That's why people with psychic abilities have what they have. It's a complex mixture of DNA mutation and brain activity that messes with a person's abilities to do the "paranormal", when in fact, it's not paranormal at all. People with psychic abilities have a keen sense to certain things, which makes them able to do what they do. And don't go all ape on my *** saying that psychic abilities aren't real! I did some research on this stuff. If I can find the site again, I'll prove it to you!

EDIT: When I say "psychic abilities", I'm not talking about Telekinesis or Pyrokinesis (although pyrokinesis is somewhat true). What I'm talking about is like Deja Vu and stuff like that. Many people think they experience it, but there are more refined forms of it out there. There's controlled Deja Vu and also many others. (including one that shows from different peoples views)

But you see, that's not the kind of Deja Vu I'm talking about. There are different forms of it out there. I experience weak Deja Vu, but there are others who can control it! They can literally just sit there and look into the future if they wanted too. But Deja Vu isn't always through your own eyes or actions. There are people who've reported that they saw murders happening to them in their sleep and then they find out that someone died the exact same way they saw. It's unexplained, and maybe coincidence, but we're getting a little off topic. Back to Jaydude's conversation.

EDIT: If you want to know more, just PM me. I don't want to discuss it here for fear of being warned for spam.

The night before the first day of school, I dreamt about a classroom. I go in the next day, everyone sits in the same place, is wearing the same thing, etc.

Again, that's not what I was talking about, that's weak Deja Vu. Can we please get back to the topic at hand though? If you want to know more just PM me, don't post here about Deja Vu anymore. I was using it as an example!

Probably their mind acting up... I'm serious, its probably their mind making them think they've seen it. What if they never thought of it? What if the world is a lie? What if we don't exist? Wha-*poof*

As written by Wikipedia;

Deja Vu

French for "already seen", also called paramnesia) describes the experience of feeling that one has witnessed or experienced a new situation previously.

Correct me if I'm wrong since I haven't done any school work in a few months.. But anyways.. Aren't there tests proveing we only use a small fraction of our brain? I'm pretty sure there are so how can it be a myth?

Ramstien

We use ALL of our brain, but most of it is subconscious.

We dont use all of our brain, when for example a accident happens, like a car accident, you get a adrenaline boost.

That speeds up your perception, and increases your consiousness(110%?:D )

Maybe it's so 100% of your brain is busy, but that could aswell mean that 85% is on idle or something.

Some people even think, and i've read articles on it, that there is there globe called the hipposomething wich controls your mind's functions, normally the human mind is chaotic, doing allot of unnesacerry things, if that was efficient instead of chaotic, that would mean enhancing your minds abilities.
