I was wondering if anyone wanted to create a new maplestory database... sumwhat like mapletip?

I thought we could use invisionfree for a forum based database-
Or if we felt like gathering money we could make it a vbulletin project

THere are enough databases like Mapletip (As u metioned) Hidden street, and tons more. We know you are trying to be helpful but there is enough help around.:-/

umm sleepywood is a guide database a very goo ddatabase is www.hidden-street.net (not sure if you knew or not so dont kill me if you did)
weve already got it coverd though it would be a lot of fun to make one.

Yea www.hidden-street.com is probably the best gMS database out there. mapletip is sooo unorganize IMO, so hard to find where everything is and their item database is down there. I still cant see how you could get a better database than hidden-street is has pretty much everything cept what drops/gives 100% attack glove scrolls....

Lets host our own? I can probably afford to keep one up... But I think we should have like 3-5 admins and the admins contribute to the cost. or we ask Gabriel to add us a page for a database. Also we are the most active forum other than general.

why there are enough already? it would just be the same info posted over again

and theres alot of work invovled in maintaining and updating it..not to mention troubleshooting,designing,bug fixing amoung others

in other words unless your prepared/dedicated enough to do it,the whole thing will just become inactive and a waste of space LOL

I think you underestimate the work that a database needs. Hiddenstreet had no fun when all the drops changed, but theyre still the best, so why re invent the wheel?
