Well here is were you can post about what was it like in the Beta days, and how is it like now? I decided to make this topic cause u can tell their has been a big difference...

My Beta Days

Well I decided to play a game called Maplestory, a friend told me about it, I was only about 11 or 12 years old at that time, I signed up and made up my Birthday*which was a bad choice* I logged on, So far the game looked great, i made the IGN named Darkone12, I logged in, and everyone in MapleIsland was so NICE! None of that CC PLZ or Hacking, Everyone was nice. THen i found out THat i wanted to be a Magician. So i went along with Random Stats, got some tips from nice people, and went on. By the time i got to lvl 7, a friend told me to get the job at lvl 8. So he told me were i can go, he said when you get to Lith Harbor their is a Taxi their, Take it. I got to Lith Harbor, and their Popped up a Black Vip Taxi, I clicked on it, and their it took me to Ant Tunnel 1. I got kinda scared, stong monsters, I died multiple of times hoping i would go back. BUt then i asked this Kind Person. She gave me a scroll, I asked what do i do with this? She said click on it. THen i got to Ellinia, I was lost, looking at bunch of Grass. And their i found out were u can make a Magician Job Advancement. THen i FINALLY became a Magician. In those days getting to lvl 15 WAS THE HARDEST >_>

The Now Days

Now its like People are Hacking, Getting CHeats, Lot more Mean people, and A whole lot of CC PLZ. I just wished The MS community would go back were it has been. :3

i got too much beta memories so i cant list them all :3
i really miss that time:(

We get topics like this every 3 months. The memories arn't going to change seeing as how there is no more beta.

Anyway, I only joined BETA 3 weeks before it closed (a friend gave me an account), so I dont have much to remember. I do remember though, that when Global was released, I let my DIAL UP do a 14 hour download, and sat infront of the computer watching most of it go...I skipped school for a week after it loaded too. Haha. Oh, and the night I found out it was coming out, I ran around my house all happy...and my mom told me to go outside before I broke something, so I did...and it was dark...and I hit a stump as I was running and....yeah. I have a pretty scar from it. :D

we had that puking face for free? and mildsoss made the 1337 for the bandwagon of magicians :p and the ellinia massacre. Bandit's password was asdf XD . i got to go on the gm and summon stuff on the horny mushroom tree. then passed the account to a friend. :p remember when there was no gameguard lots of people could duplicate mesos, and being lvl 40 is considered "godly". Napoleans costed 1mill, and having a groonhill (doombringer) was HAx!~ having a zard was GODLY! and thats all i can think of

Well someone always makes topics about how Beta was and everyones answer will be the same. No point making a new topic for people to say stuff they've said 100 times. I'd rather think about what'll happen in the future like your topic about level 70.

All i really remember was lots of glitches.. and lots of people dup hacking etc etc

i remember making an archer with 600hp thinking i was godly
then i remember hitting 200 damage and was like omgwtf i pwn

i was so naive

Well...At first, i thought, Fighting snails? WTFZOMG KIDDY GAMEZOR. Then i found out from friends that you fight more monsters* not just snails that kept getting bigger* Then...i added poinmts into random places.... I went to ellnnia to get my job...back then to me, elninia town, was a LONG LONG way up there, to the job advacement. And so on...the end..

i made mage, lvled it up to lvl 26. had 50 str 23 dex used a mace and spent 600k on a black napolean, i liked the sound of perion cuz thats where everyone was. thats all i remember

seriously??? I mean i see people fly hack in perion all the time. My brother (when he played MapleStory) left his guy on Maplestory on a macro program and gained 8 levels in one day starting from lvl 25. I mean seriously, everwhere i went, there was a hacker. back then they didnt have vac hack, they had god mode and macro and that was enough

I played at the very start of Beta, and then at the end, so I may have dodged the hackers.

i got into beta pretty late
but i still got it in

and i didnt see any hackers
lucky me.....

yea and I remember level 50 was called pro in beta =D
if there's a level70, everybody would be like "Sh!ttttttttt"
I just realized how small was Victoria Island when they started having orbis and stuff.

The highest level I could get to in beta was 34 Orz....
Maybe because beta was too boring?

Anyways, we had all the hackers, scammers and crap we have now, in beta, but we just didn't know about them. Now that we know more about the game, we know what all those flying mushrooms are and why that random warrior isn't getting damaged. Anyways, there were more ONRPG meets back in beta.

i loved beta. my goal was to get to lvl 50 on my mage and archer. i got to 46 on my mage and 45 on my archer. i was sad. i wish they would have kept beta running still
