Well i was wondering if you guys think that fame matters? Personally all my characters dont have more then like 40 fame since i only get 20 for dark sets and then i stop trading fame. Some people say youra hacker if you have low faem buti dont think tahts always true. Anyways what do you guys think? Do you bother trading fame and so on?

for me,fame doesnt really matter but i'd rather have 40 fame than 0:p
like this:you got yourself a high level char but with 0 fame..
if people look at that they will probably think of you as a scammer or a hacker-_-

If you are the son of "God of Fames", then I think fame would be a big deal to you. Other than that, fame means nothing unless you want to wear dark equip.

well just get fame as same as ur lvl or lower with 10 or somthing cuse ppl thinks that ur a noob scammer or a hacker if u dun have fame or u can risk and go without fame X_x

I have around 68 fame, and I don't trade or buy it. I do my best to EARN my fame.

I don't bother with fame much and the only time I sell fame is when I need a bit of money quick if. I do get fame it's because someone gives it too me, I find it funny when people threaten too mass defame you if you don't change channel and stuff.

i trade fame wen someone asks me to or wen im at zombies ppl ask to buy nearest town scroll i just give so they fame me for it. xD fame to me = absolutely fking pointless XD

I'd say around 100+ is enough for anyone. If someone is really mysterious and has no fame (for example a 90+ DK on bellocan with negative fame), I would probably assume the person to be a hacker. It doesn't really matter, unless it's really low. Of couse, some people enjoy having low fame and try to get into the negative thousands.

I personally feel FAME is something you are susposed to look at as acceptance to the community. I cant stand when people go around and advertise "Buying fame", "Trading fame", or "Selling fame" just because you really didn't earn it. Im pretty sure you need fame for the jakum helmet (I think 50).... But im not to sure on that one. I know people who ask for defames just so beggers for meru will leave them alone. If I decide to aquire alot of fame on my character im gonna make I would like it to be genuine. Just so I know when I look at it and it says '345' fame I can say to myself "Im accepted and liked by alot of people" and not "Wow im broke..."

But really its not required to play the game but is prefered when trading rare/valuable items.

I think the Zakum Helm 1 needs 80 something fame to be worn. Other then that more than 20 fame isn't needed.

It can also be your 1 way of being 1st ranked at something (highest fame rank on MapleGlobal)

I could care less about fame...sometimes people buy...that gets me 5k...but I usually give it to random people (and they usually give it back) or, I go find defame girl and use it on her...


I fame pro's when they dont just walk by and blow away everything I was trying to kill. Respect.

Only look to fame if your trying to be the Number 1 in fame, which is hard since i bet the top guy buys 100 fame a day. Fame doesnt really mean your better, i mean hackers would buy fames and so will regular players. some people compete to get the lowest. Youll probably get enough fame from doing quests and maybe some from trading on basil if your buyer/seller is nice.
