Wat a waste took 40 min to dl and 30 min for update

this game doesnt have 1280x1024 reso.... and i have A LCD monitor looks like shit at 1024x768 reso

or anyone know a way to put it higher? if yeah is too late anyway

I always thought you could but I guess not. There is a way to change it. You have to edit a text file. Here is how to do it:

1. Open up your Rappelz folder. "C:\Program Files\GALA-NET\Rappelz" by default.

2. Open up the OPT file "rappelz_v1" in notepad.

3. The first two options are you resolution settings. Change the first one "1280" and the second one to "1024". It will look like:

GRAPHIC_RESOLUTION_WIDTH=1280
GRAPHIC_RESOLUTION_HEIGHT=1024

4. It will ask you if you wish to change it on exit. Just accept and start the game.

This could make the interface mess up. If it does you can just delete the folder and the game will make a new one the next time you start it. If there are any questions just ask. The game doesn't suck because you can't play at 1280x1024. That's a pretty ignorant thing to say. If your looking for near perfection pay for your games.

loll took about 30 min to dl game and 20-30 min for patching it...iv played 10 min and get bored already!!! this game sux rly bad in my opinion i didnt say u guyz who play it does just the game is pretty bad i rly dont like it well ill continu play flyff...i was bored of my aoe assist lvl 64 but i think ill have to continue play it untill yulgang is up in english.

I expected a big discussion with lot of arguments and stuff. 5 comments and 1038 views ^_^. Lol, but it's about your resolution and then you call this game bad?

Anyway, I still think it's bad. It lags and it doesn't work well sometimes on my pc. Guess it's bad coded. Lots of grind too, because it's just killing monsters without any purpose, no storyline.

That's not all, but I just pointed 1 bad thing.

well the game looks just horrible with the lowest res., but you know guys you can change the res in-game, and I finally found out how to make the option windows in-game less transparent.

Putting graphics on the highest setting in options actually looks very nice for a free online game :)

Uh, you do know that if you set it to "User mode" you can change resolution settings.

I've seen a couple threads (maybe not on this forum, but around the net) with people complaining "doooh it makes no sense... I don't even know what to do... blah blah blah"... Has anyone faced this problem? Because the rediculously straight forward trainee camp got me to level 10 in no time, no problems, and enjoying myself 100% the entire time. I think this game is a great game for a F2P... and its pretty new still. I always say give new MMO's a chance... a few updates could turn the whole project for the better (for those of you who hate it of course). As of right now, the grind is a little boring I will give it that much, but the way job points are used and stuff... I like that. Needs more skills as well... all in due time though! thats my ramble for the night XD

the graphics are superb for a free game if u have a great comp spec to push the potential of the graphic to teh max! however the game itself sucks! what makes me lost interest about this game is that the moves/skill animations are shiiety! all with white lighting cover the charecter.

well maybe cause all the games you try are f2p?:hmm: if you want a truly good game its gotta be p2p or at least b2p. the only f2p game that is good with races,classes,professions, is shadowbane and it used to be p2p but it then went f2p. and its not that great because they actually post all the spells available to each class, it doesn't have that many abilities and spells in the game...

atleast pokemon has a storyline >_> this thing takes up like tons of space and the reward is gettin bored after 10min...:-/

LOL this game is great imo. And I just came from a p2p game called World of Repgrind.. I mean Warcraft. I don't mind the grind in this game at all, in fact it's nice to have short term goals for grinding, in this case you grind for skill points. I spent maybe a couple hours on this game max and I almost made it to lvl 20. The only thing is that some finer things in the game like combination and breaking down, cubes and the like- they could be explained in a little more detail. But hey, that's what the rappelz forums are for, right? There also needs to be more customization, ie more hair styles, colors, etc. However, all in all, for a f2p game, Rappelz is fantastic.

I play FFXI and get flamed by WoWers everyday. Based on a true story.

PLEASE make it so we can play our game without having to "defend" it while not playing ... I got bored at level 20 in rappelz, that doesn't mean everyone will. I actually want to give it another try, since there's been 3 new "episodes" since I quit...

There are probably high level players who just happenned to find the right people to play with ... same for WoW, except 52% of the entire MMORPG market plays WoW, that means you got your fill of great people but also a f***load more morons who'll just flame everyone, beg and complain.
MMORPGs aren't the narrow-minded by the way, if you can't accept the idea of having to grind, you're just not meant to play MMOs in general.

With the Epic 4 and all the changes i think this game friggin sucks now
if u played this and noe about cubes thers no safe lvl anymore armors wepons r all breaking at any + lvl i broke everything since i didnt noe that at the time

40 minutes to download a game that has almost 2gb size? Jesus Christ... Why do I live in a shithole called Brazil? lol..

It took me like 16 hours (yes, sixteen) to download the client.

Only thing this game actually lacks for me is WASD. Point and click really makes it feel empty.

i played for 2 days i'm lvl 20
true that i spent most of the time killing stuff but i dont find it real grindy compared to most other games, i often level up when i'm not aware of it at all

10 minutes thats lvl 7 you didnt even have your class have a party you wernt even off noobs island... if you get off noobs island theres dungeon raiding party grinding pvp guild raids

This game is pretty good. I've only been playing for about a week though. Also if you're complaining about slow leveling, exp rates have been increased permanantly.
