My friend and i played Irose, we loved the game we played it seriously more then 16 hours a day in the summer, and we are not the only ones that love the game other thousands of people love it to the servers wore always full they loved to play and the community whas great the gameplay whas great and then something happend.....

Alot of people coulden't or diden't want to pay to play and then yesterday i went to take a look at R.O.S.E with the free 7 day try and i have never ever saw the server Easy or Normal it whas always exceeded then i went to clan field also EMPTY i went to aqua's also empty i went to JUNON also not alot of people, all i have to say, You lost more then 70% of the people that played first i know u like to get payed for ur hard work but then put a Cash Shop Like MapleStory or something else but why ruin it like this? Ive seen alot of forums and almost all people say they miss R.O.S.E and they said they would quit every game just for R.O.S.E if u would put a cash shop and make it free to play then i am sure the 75% will come back.... I loved the game but why just why ruin it by making it free to play?

Kids love this game and they can't pay for them... even if they ask their parents... I think their parents think it's not worth paying for a game. If you make a cash shop a kid can pay for items with the little money their parents give to him or her.

I really recommend them to use cash shop instead of pay to play cause all the people will come back that have played before and every single player will collect money to pay for cash items and honest more then 50% of the players are kids who are like less then 15 year old

ROSE is nothing more than your average grind fest. Nothing makes it qualify as a p2p game. The quests are a joke. The whole point of the game is to kill certain monsters until you reach a certain level then move on to the next set of monsters.

R.O.S.E. was great. I loved it. I played it when it was in beta.

Then I stoped when I heard about the P2P news. Blah. Cash shops a good idea, but they might make more money through P2P alone.

IMO the chance of ROSE becoming F2P is about the same chances of Ragnarok becoming F2P. They're pretty slim.

But we have to understand that they can't continue to keep a game up and running for free if more and more people keep coming. People make games p2p because they need money to pay for servers, customer service, GMs (sometimes), and maybe some developement. Other games are free because some companies can pay from their own wallets.

Yes F2P ROSE with a cash shop sounds great, but do you really think that at least 75% of the users who log on to different games that offer the cash shopping system even use it? Gravity can't take the risk of adding a cash shop that not everyone would use. Even though more people = more people buying from these shops, then that means more people = more servers, more work force, and probably more additions so that everyone can actually get service from the game. And the small game shop will not be enough to cover all of those costs.

So even though the announcement of probably adding a cash shop the game is exciting, there's a very large chance the game will still be P2P. :(

Gravity probably thought that since there were so many players during the open beta, that there would be thousands still playing if it were P2P. But that didn't go as planned, and a lot more people liked it when F2P. But hey, if you still exist from the Open Beta of iRO...you'd say the same thing. But I can't imagine iRO having 5000 players on 2 or 3 servers during a open beta, so it was probably still in the thousands like it is today. (If anyone can find out what it was like during open beta, that'd be great to hear)

I would come back to ROSE even if it were P2P, but 11 bucks a month with a small 7 day trial with no credit card required is definately not for me. I would probably reconsider if the game went P2P but droped the charge by 6 bucks, because $11 is like FFXI...without the extra $1 charge a month for a character (WHY?!).

BTW: During open beta of ROSE, to me it seemed like it was going on forever. But then aruptly, with NO announcement of it going P2P before or after hand (like a day or two after FilePlanet announced a free trial thingy), it went P2P. But how long did Open Beta last for that game? 1 Year?

1) omfg irose was a beta not an actual game
2) cash shop for games is pointless unless u have some other form of income(most companies have like a few f2p games and a few p2p ones...city of heroes for example)
3) im having no trouble with lag, over croudedness, etc. if there is anyone else inhere who p2p narose i think i speak for us all when i say "we like less chars thats the way it shud be"

I think it's partially a culture issue. Koreans are apparently known to be more respectful of their fellow players. So you get less hackers, griefers, etc.

Having pay servers also allows them to harness more bandwidth, allowing for error checking and reducing lag. The game doesn't have horrible lag, and even when it does, you merely have to switch channels and it goes away.

Many of the kiddies who would love a "free" version are also the type that would NOT buy any cash shop items, so it's most likely not an option. Just look at how many leechers you see in Maple Story.

Heck, if you ask me, the only reason Maple Story is able to remain online is because it uses relatively less bandwidth. They're not error checking and anyone may grab an account, so...well... there ya go... Hacker paradise. I love maple story, as it is fun, relatively lag free, and the cash shop is fun. But man, cheaters, griefers, defame-armies, etc. get annoying.

Ok i havn't been on onrpg for a long time now let me tell u some things.
1. All classes of rose lost their power Hawker lost his m-speed remember we used to go like 1500 m - speed well now its 800 m-speed for everyone WITH BUFF
2.For godsake clan field is gone, its only on for like a hour or 2 a day and since many country's are sleeping when its on so wtf?

IRose was a perfect game
at first i had a slow pc and i bought a new one just to play rose
after a half year the message appeared on the forum that they shouldn´t make rose p2p
after a while all the accounts were resetted and a new round begun (2nd closed beta)
still was fun and you weren´t a newbie anymore
then i couldn´t use my pc for a while (punishment)
after 2 weeks i heard the rumor that the game became p2p
